Neo Geo Stick 2 for the Wii, it's here, and it's awesome
When you're playing Samurai Shodown on your virtual Neo Geo, you need more than that rinky-dink controller to immerse you in a world of arcade magic. When you need to reach for a controller than can match up to your memories, you need the Neo Geo Stick 2. That's right, this fully Wii-compatible controller can send you hurtling back through time to a happier day when your only concerns were cruising in your IROC-Z, shredding to Winger, and making sure you had enough quarters in your pocket to play Fatal Fury. Ready to do the time warp? $59.90 gets you through the door.

OMG Yes!
Wait a minute... wasn't Neogeo games only in Japan's Virtual Console?
No, it was supposed to top the original NES but it never gained traction in the USA due to a higher cost, fewer games, and the widespread popularity of the 8bit Nintendo Entertainment System.
Forgot to add, It was available in the USA.
FINALLY
Wii is getting good games.
I think this thing is just like a classic controller.
In which case I will master Brawl with it, lol.
I am wondering the same thing... although.. if we are talking KOF online mode..I am in...
There are plenty of NEO GEO games available on the virtual console here in the states:

Does this function as a controller also or only play the original games? I couldn't afford the IROC back then!
great...
Will the Nintendo Wii EVER be in-stock?!?!
I've been pre-ordering games, and accessories, like mad.
Virtual Console is taking my money, faster than the arcades took my quarters :]
Down where I live, every retailer is usually sold out, but for some reason there are always three or four Wiis at Toys 'R Us. Because of that place, I've always been able to get games the day of release without having to worry about a pre-order. I don't think many people shop there for video game stuff.
OMG..PLEASE tell me this will work on the pc?!?!
uh, probably not without the type of hacks that make the wii-remote work
but there's other options on the PC anyway
"...shredding to Winger..."
LOL! You guys are nuts!
Does this only work with the Virtual Console or could it also be used for say.. Metal Slug Anthology?
Judging by the labels on the buttons, it's basically a Neo Geo shaped Classic Controller, and I'd bet it plugs into the Wiimote the same way. So it's probably usable with any game the CC is usable with.
I've found that what really lets the Wii MSA anthology down is the controls!
It doesn't support the Classic Controller! Okay, it supports the GC controller but I don't really like the D-pad on it and some of the choices for button layout are just weird.
What I use is the Wiimote but I hate having to shake it just to throw a grenade! Gargh!
They really should've allowed players to map/customise their own control configurations.
hi
Great! Now do the Mega Drive arcade powerstick. :)
Hey nintendo! give me my money back for final fight on virtual console, it doesnt fucking work.
.. love this post.
maybe this is just me, but $60 seems a little high for that.
even though it is pimpin',
Considering the original Neo Geo sticks were $60 each, I was thinking this is a pretty solid deal.
Is this wireless?
it is so great, but so expensive
Pretty cool, but I still prefer an arcade stick with 6 big buttons.
Besides that, it's pretty expensive. For a few bucks more, you own a Neo Geo controller including the console.
I want to see the first guy who can mod this stick to work with a regular NEO GEO console as the controllers for that system are hard to come by nowadays.
OMG, I remember how much I used to drool in fron of the NEO GEO and its controller...
Nice...
Had a Neo Geo back in the day. The cartridges were absolutely huge along with the high price tag to boot. 300 dollars was not unheard of for a game cartridge. Basically you were buying an arcade circuit board for the system.
For $60 I better not have to plug it into a Wiimote as well!
nice to see a (more) animated version of The Rock
I dont see any cables so it probably uses a port for the wiimote? If s othen yea, abit difficult to use with the pc. :(
While a simular 6 button unit would be nice, just to have an arcade quality stick that works with most arcade games and neogeo games properly (again, in mame) would be fantastics. the price is affordable too.
Put your hands on your hips...
AGGG!!! Why can't these companies make controllers with the stick on the right and the keys on the left?!?!
I still don't understand what happened to cause all the newer arcade machines and console controllers to go "lefty" when the world is mostly full of righties.
that is totally disregarding lefty gamers everywhere...!!
Where's the NES Advantage? I miss the turbo buttons.
This is awesome, another crappy product to go with a greater crappy product. +Waiting for the Nintendo fans to attack+ Bring it!
