Nintendo confirms: May-bound Wii Fit priced at $89.99
Nothing like a little reassurance on tax day, right? We already knew that GameStop was gearing up to offer Nintendo's Wii Fit for $89.99, but now the Big N has stepped in to affirm said price point. Beginning on May 19th here in the US, Wii Fit, along with the bundled Wii Balance Board, will be sold together for a penny under $90. And for those located near New York City, you can score a sweat rag, er, Wii Fit t-shirt if you're one of the first 1,000 to lay down a $5 deposit at the Nintendo World store between April 18 - 20. Bonus points if you run there, we swear.

as if the Wii wasn't enough of a rip off already
Or you could take that $90 and spend it on a wireless network adapter for the Xbox 360. You know, wireless networking? Just like the Wii has already built-in?
Rip off indeed.
Why can't you all just agree that Nintendo is trying new things and whether or not it is successful is up to the consumers? Nintendo took a huge chance in the Wii alone and did very well. And their accessories (regardless if they are useful or not) are selling as well. Plus, if this turns out to be used for a week then thrown in the closet, maybe you should create a WiiCloset for all the useless accessories people buy for the Wii? Maybe you will make money, but then again why would you make something utterly useless if it makes you money? Oh I know why, cuz you dont want to make billions of dollars selling useless stuff like Nintendo does.
BTW, i'm not a Wii fanboy, more of a PS3 fanboy :D
I completely agree with what your saying here Jake. Nintendo has always been a company about trying new things..especially when it comes to input devices in regards to home consoles....Mario paint used a mouse, The Super Scope 6, The Virtual Boy, Rumble packs, PowerPads, Powergloves...just to make our experience that much better. If it were up to Microsoft and Sony we would never see any of this stuff. But I digress again just ungrateful consumers who think companies owe them something just for being born and thinking their opinions are worth anything.
$90 ? It's nothing compared to the price in Europe : 90 euros ($142) !
I wonder what the weight limit on that thing is. Looks like a 300 pounder (those who need it most) would crush it.
yay! i love flames from fanboys of all kinds!
here is my addition
"i find a useless piece of plastic more the xbox when it gets the 3 rings of death than the wii fit"
:D
And official European price 89.99 €
I'm wondering if even the day the euro/dollar exchange will be 2:1 the producers will continue with their 1:1 exchange rate.
WTF!

I can see myself playing Unreal Tournament on the Wii: controlling the hoverboard with the Wii Fit and aiming/shooting with the Wiimote.
OH. YEAH!
Nintendo is bringing us the future of gaming, people. Microsoft and Sony will follow behind.
Hrmm $90 US Dollars doesn't sound so bad compared to the $150 Australian we need to pay down under. At today's exchange rate, that's $138 USD.
In short, stop the whining, you're getting great value.
What's with all the hate. This board has so much more potential than just the Wii Fit game that is bundled with it. Imagine some skateboarding/snowboarding implementations using this technology.
Tell you what, I'm not going to bother my ASS commenting on the Wii Fit, instead I'll just try and rip the piss out of any 'rival' system that I don't have/like.
Nope, nothing.
That'll be because;
a) they ALL have their pro's AND con's.
b) Unlike some of the "contributers" here, I feel NO need to make infantile, whining remarks about "my stuff's better'n your stuff, neh,neh neh-neh, neh!"
Grow the fuck up!
