DIY'er crafts scientific calculator watch, TI-30 is like "what?"
Calculator watches, a staple of the average's geek wardrobe since before your grandmother was born, have been called out, as David Jones' own homegrown version totally trumps anything out there on the pre-fabricated market today. The cleverly-titled µWatch was born after a Casio CFX-400 bit the dust after years upon years of telling time and determining averages, and while it seems as though a bona fide front panel is still in the works, we're personally hoping that currently unoccupied Design & Construction portal gets updated with a how-to guide. Check out the read link for a few more shots of the early prototype and the current build.

Obligatory: The 83 is a graphing calculator. The 30 is a scientific.
Ooh graphic calculator wrist watch *drewl*
So are there any stylish calculator watches or is that an oxymoron?
I used to have a watch that had a face watch on top that flipped up to reveal the calculator underneath. It was really cool until I went swimming and forgot to take it off. :-(
I think this one looks good:

Of course, it looks better with your white shirt/thin black tie than your denim leisure suit.
8008135 - hehe old school
Speaking of calculators, logarithms are fun as hell!
I can complete it, with a FULL COMBO*, in 3 minutes, doing 15 problems. That is only 4 seconds a problem.
*Full Combo refers to no C-C-C-COMBO BREAKERS**
**A C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER is a slang term used in 7th period freshman GT PreAP Algebra 2 for a wrong answer
Man you must really have that KILLER INSTINCT huh.... next time.. go for the ULTRA comment.....
uhhh 15 problems in 3 minutes is 12 seconds a problem not 4...
Good job...
I mean 45, not 15.
Sure ya did.
nerd.
Yeah, he'll take two; one for each arm.
My mom said there is nothing wrong with being smart.
^____^
Real nerds/geeks don't need calculators.
Number Sense FTW
Or am I the only Mu Alpha Theta nerd here?
I was thinking more along the lines of FoxTrot. Good comic.
Mu Alpha Theta?
I am not in it, but I know a few who are.
That's nerd redefined. WOW, just WOW.
Remember class - during the test, no calculators.
Yeah, that's very exactly why I bought a calculator watch..
Other than that, KillaGorillaz is right, geeks don't use calculators...
Someday I'm gonna take my 84 and mod it to add Wifi.
Love the set screws. So "build tough"...
Those are Socket Head Cap Screws (SHCS), set screws are most often headless.
6922251x8=55378008=BOOBLESS
ahh, the good old days
There was once a girl whose boobs weighted "69" pounds. They were "2" "2" "2" big, so she went to the doctor. He gave her some pills and told her to take "5" every "1" day, but she took "8", and now, she's "="
Turn calculator upside down. Ta dah!
Bill Gates rule #903: Be nice to nerds: chances are you'll work for one.
Isn't that why a lot of people *resent* nerds? Because they actually enjoy stuff that feels forced upon most people?
Don't forget the biggest typo in history...the book was supposed to have said "...and the geek shall inherit the earth."
I mean G and M are close to the each other on the DVORAK Keyboard, which we know God would have used...in the beginning.
Its like this watch isnt ugly as hell............
Good idea, but whatever idiot made it look like that should be shot
You could use it to calculate how many years it will be before you have the smallest chance of getting laid.
awesome
Sorry, I deal in modern math and stats so your calculator is of no use to me! Bo hahahahahahaha!
Not really cal watch FTW!
Yes, but can it play Crysis?
this must be hard for the firs timer.. :D
Very cool. but does it have an overly-bright back-light? geeks are drawn to it like moths to a candle.
Sweet, free answers on the next big math test.
Four words for the builder of this watch.
No, don't. Just stop.
You need to go hang out with Spitzer or something.
