Famicom clone closes the circle with an NES cart for a case
Just when you thought it couldn't get any more meta than a full NES clone hacked into an NES controller, somebody goes and mods up an NES cart to play Famicom cartridges. The all-in-one unit includes a pair of controller plugs, video out and that all-important reset switch in a pretty slick package. That's great and all, but when our grandkids start building PS3 clones out of discarded Blu-ray cases, we're seriously going to start freaking out.

I'm not usually one for case mods, but that IS cool.
It looks like they put a Yobo board in there. Those things are so small they're already the size of a cart in their original case. Even if you own a NES you need to buy a Yobo because they're so damn cool looking and way smaller in person.
People, we are talking here about incest!
It's Cart on Cart!
Incest or interracial?
At least with a PS3 clone, you wouldn't have to blow the cartridge to get it to work.
Yeah, the PS3 doesn't need any help "blowing". it does a good job by it's self.
Yeah, because you won't be playing any games anyways.
Daaaaammnnnnnnnn...!
@ TIMMAY
OOOOOH, count it!
That's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life.
It won't be your grand kids, it won't even be your kids. At the rate technology moves you'll see it in about 5 years lol
What's this about grandkids? You mean you'll start freaking out when we are printing PS3 clones including wireless power and uber high-def screens onto discarded Bluray disks as souveneirs... in ten years time! We can but hope...
But what kind of controllers does it use? It's not an NES port, looks more like a Genesis port.
Famicom port.
Umm, the original Famicom's controllers were attached to the system. What hardware is this using? Yobo?
Hmm wouldn't that create a causality loop? One that can only be broken by Kelsey Grammer?
ahhh, irony
if only they modded the NES cartridge to play NES games (using regular NES controllers)...that would be the ultimate.
did you look at the picture? no need to RTFA, just look.
Am I the only one dreaming of an SNES version of this?
That I would buy ten of.
That's a pretty easy mod using the Yobo. I could probably make one in a day. In fact, maybe I will...
Still, it's really cool.
