Samsung resignations spark rioting, photo burning
Think you're a fanboy? Supporters of the Samsung Group gathered for a rally during a press conference held by Kim Yong-chul, a lawyer calling for punishments to be handed out to disgraced company CEO Lee Kun-hee. During the proceedings, supporters burned pictures of Kim and generally made Apple and Microsoft fanatics look like choir boys on especially good behavior. Now that's dedication.

What??!?!?!?!? Steve sold out on us?? Lets all get together and riot! Seriously though, that would be bad.
o man if MS took over apple they would be hit with SO many monopoly suits it would be ridicules. but yea i might just go see that riot
Whoa, everyone calm down - nobody wants to see Apple bought out. Plus you'd need PC boys to explain how to use the hairspray and zippo lighters. ;-)
And I thought *I* was a fanboy...
wow, I like my sammy P2, but not that much!
hey, you know what the poster on the left says?
it says something like Kim Yong-chul give back the 110,000,000 ₩ (or something like that, i don't know for sure cause i'm korean american and not that good in korean) immediately.
*edit: give back the 110,000,000 ₩ you got from Samsung immediatley
I think you are missing a few zeroes - it is 11,000,000,000won which works out to roughly 11 million dollars.
Photo burning... the next step is to burn the actual person.
I saw this photo (no pun intended) on BBC's website before I discovered this on Engadget. If that cardboard gets burned through while that guy is still spraying the aerosol and someone behind him would probably be charred...
Oh by the way I saw someone mentioning the flame backfires (pun not intended either) -- it won't because the pressure coming out of the nozzle is pretty high. Wind won't affect much either because the boards basically block moving air around. The only serious damage is that he creates a huge fireball by spraying everywhere but the board... and causing the aerosol vapour to diffuse before the flame can burn it up while concentrated.
it's about time someone sprayed that guy in the face with fire. me and my prayer group have been asking god about this for a long time. thanks god.
I'm surprised everyone's so, well, surprised, about this. South Koreans are hardcore protesters and really make a show out of every potentially-political event. The passion they have over democracy really puts us other Western nations to shame.
Uhm, we should feel shame for not being such over-the-top nutters? I think not buddy.
Lol @ the Rain's backing dancer comment. Just listening to him!!
I for one actually respect the former CEO. Sure, he did some messed up stuff. However, he actually admitted to doing so and agreed to accept the consequences of his actions. Comparing this to the typical western reaction to getting called out (denying everything and hopping on a plane to some other country) I find his actions quite respectable.
Congratulations Lee Kun-hee, you are one of the seven people with dignity left in the world.
To the hell with Samsung ans Sony, support Motorola It's an American Owned company. Let the other so belly up.
I'm still waiting for the "Toshiba HDDVD product cancelation Riots & Citizens Misbehaving" But my town wasn't part of the tour I guess...
