The dude who wrote the article knew full well everyone was going to read it as HD-DVD. Should have spelled out hard disk drive. Sometimes I wonder why I keep coming back to engadget.

HDD has been an acronym for Hard Disk Drive for decades before "HD DVD" came along. These units are HDD/DVD recorders, nothing but. Why make an already long title longer by spelling out HDD? Why not expand on DVD while we're at it?
