Alienware set to debut AlienNetwork with "special product announcement"
Alienware sure does seem to like to generate a little mystery around its products (or at least attempt to), and it looks like it's trying to have another go at it this afternoon, this time in conjunction with the launch of its new AlienNetwork "digital channel." Unfortunately, there's not much to go on this time around, with the company only telling us to expect a "special product announcement" during the broadcast. On the upside, we at least don't have to wait very long to get the full low down, as the show's set to kick off at 3:00PM EST.

I dunno. Nothing special looking here. It just looks like a Q&A video session like Gamespot.com does.
M17X with skullcap designs available? I hope.
I'd prefer they announce the pending release of a new m15x and m17x sporting the Centrino 2 platform.
I wish companies that did this actually had something worth waiting for.
3 PM EST... what's that in real time (GMT)?
8p... google is your friend
The little curve at the bottom makes me think of the curved monitor.
weren't they showing off a curved monitor at a trade show recently?
I bet it is there new curved monitor they showed a couple months ago.....I will definitely be getting one
Officially, that would be 1900 GMT, but I believe they meant to say 3pm EDT, which would be 1800 GMT. Stupid monkeys.
Here's what i was remembering.

I bet is something related to computers!
did I win? did I win???
I think it's the curved monitor they revealed at CES.
After all, they promised it would be out this year, and on that page the screen is curved..
They're now saying it won't be out till Q1 2009, if you read through the "questions that didn't make it in" section.
Says on the right hand side of the page.
"April 29, 2008 @ 3:00pm EST
PC Gaming: Is it dying? and Under the hood of Alienware's new notebooks – The Area-51 m15x and m17x"
Come on its 3 PM ,EST , show me the aliens ...
So I'm watching it now and honestly losing anything that is being said as a result of the irritating ass canadian accents.
Ooooh I dunno what that guy is talking aboot, eh?
They're not Canadian.
Oh boy...a 17" laptop with more harddrives and dual video.
*yawn*
Oh boy, you can change the colors of your keyboard keys
*yawn*
Irritating canadian accent
*yawn*
"Hope you've all learned something about alienware..."
I've learned that I'd rather listen to the indian accents that HP support has than the canadian crap I just spent the last 20 minutes listening to. brutal, eh?
^^ Why the world hates America ^^
Not like they were Canadian anyway, AW is from Miami
Meh, puhleeze. Company may be in Miami, but these guys are definitely canuck in origin.
And no, I'm not saying that's a bad thing...just that a 30 minute web conference to announce another laptop in their expanding lineup of already overpriced "Gaming" PCs, is a waste of time...and the canadian accent made it sound too much like a tour through the hockey hall of fame to be condusive to paying attention.
OMG!! They're launching a product next month that they unveiled in November!! Amazing news, good job Alienware.
in short: SOOOOO BORRINGGGG buy! buy! buy!
