Um, this is a new design. It's less than a year old. And you're entitled to your opinion, but I don't think many would call it "ugly."
The only thing I wish they would change is make it all aluminum (no plastic back), for environmental reasons. I'm sure Apple will change that when it becomes cost-effective to do so.
I don't like the shape of this thing and the massive empty space on the bottom. Not to mention how thick the thing is. It's F.U.G.L.Y., the materials used have nothing to do with how this thing looks like a microwave.
Okay then. You work out how to make the damn thing look different.
By the way, the display is raised so that it's at eye level... then again, maybe you're a 9 year old troll and can barely see over the table. And what are they going to do? Use a pull out screen? Hologram? You want it to be slimmer? Then guess what? Less powerful components due to the lower thermal envelope of it.
Yeah... FUGLY is why every player in the industry ran to copy this all-in-one pc design and deliver their own.... FUGLY is why every electronics maker copies Apple designs.... ha.
F.U.G.L.Y is what it is, no excuse can make up for the fact it looks like a microwave. It's fat, its got a huge chin and lacks proper ports even though its fat enough to hold 10 usb ports. FAIL, massive FAIL in fact. Apple needs to redesign this turd. Drop the stupid stand that is not proportionate to the screen side, drop a few inches on the side of this brick and add a real gpu into this machine.

Wait what? 5 USB ports, Firewire 400 and 800, Mini DVI, Gigabit ethernet? How is that not enough?
