iPhone finally coming to Canada
It seemed like it would never happen, but the impossible has occurred: Apple's iPhone is coming to Canada. The news was quietly slipped into telecom giant Rogers' latest earnings report, with the simple statement that the company was "thrilled to announce" a "deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year." Apparently, lips are sealed on all other details, but we'll keep you posted as news gets our way.

What is the big deal about the Apple store opening in Edmonton? There are already 3 in Toronto...(one in Laval too)..
things are pretty bad when Apple doesn't even want Canadian money.
u thought Rodney Dangerfield had it bad.
Buy an iPhone from Apple and activate it on the Rogers network through iTunes. When it comes out of course. That way, even if Rogers was selling the original iPhone, you could buy the newest (rumoured) iPhone from Apple and not have to worry about dealing with the salespeople at Rogers. Also, I know a load of people in Canada with iPhones already. Most of them rely on wifi for their network usage. Paying for cell phone Internet in Canada is stupid.
I love Apple, in general.
But...
The iPhone just seems like overkill, especially pricewise.
I think you better off buying the Bell's HTC Touch with 7$ unlimited data plan. I've been using it in CANADA for a while and it has faster connection than most people in the US (from the forums). You can do everything with it without the fear of going over.
