iPod building block speakers keep your dock connector company
Too busy to bother with external speakers for your iPod? Still can't shake that fascination with colored blocks after all these decades? Take heart, young buck, as the iPod building block speakers can keep that kid in you alive for a good bit longer -- though we aren't sure the audiophile in you will be too pleased. These non-powered "drivers" get amped after being plugged into an iPod's dock connector (sorry, iPhone users), but curiously enough, they only arrive in a single 2.5- x 1- x .75-inch form, which doesn't exactly fit flush against the last-gen nano. Nevertheless, those giddy about the notion of claiming a few as their own can pick 'em up in yellow, white, red, black, blue and green for $24.99 apiece.

completely silly...
Sign me up.... I gotta have some.
They seem pretty neat... just a bit expensive maybe. Call it $15 or maybe $20 and we'll talk.
but you're paying for the LEGO "Look"_
Can I build a castle with them?
sorry, iPhone users? Do they for sure not work? I've only seen one non-iPhone accessory actually not work with my iPhone. Everything else pops up a warning, but they work.
and it doesn't work w/ my iphone..... even with the "device may not work" dismissal.... driver update?
The iTouch is playing BoA... it's sad that that was the thing I immediately recognized.
I noticed that too!
I was just about to post and say that. Good job!
Hey, i had one of these for a few months.... sound quality is crap but definitely awesome to have in those desperate moments
What a waste of plastic.
Is it wrong for me to immediately scan the article for credit to Solid Alliance after seeing the image?
I think we can all agree that leggo is actually cooler than an ipod...
Well the whole lego toys thing kinda fits in well with all of apples products = they are all fisher price kiddy toys.
I resent that. I am a 19 year old PC user, and I still play with legos on a regular basis.
Same as Earl, and Lego is its own company, not affiliated with Fisher Price... Lego is awesome and I still play with them.
But, you might say that they are both overpriced, and in the end they're all just bricks. :D
Forget the cheap speaker concept - I just want these to serve as an iPod dock for the desktop (to both charge and transfer data).
And although there may need to be a couple of small design changes made to make it more stable when serving as a dock, by the looks of how the connector is situated, it would allow me to charge my iPod without having to remove it from its protective case (which is always a plus, and which most dock designers fail to think about).
this have been out for a while now, the problem with them (for me anyways) is that they are still to big for the ipod touch. Can't someone out there make a nicer sexier version that looks good with the touch.
The touchmod mic looks great with the ipod touch, can someone get a clue?
"brick" your iPod and still have it covered under warranty.
Ha. we have those here in australia for like AUD$10.
i have the blue one, their pretty decent speakers and go fair loud!
