At $549 that is a decent price. I have a underwater setup that the housing alone cost more than $549, of course it isn't point and shoot. This is pretty normal for any entry-level underwater camera.
Sounds like a decent deal for an entry level setup. I started off shooting a similar (though only 4MP) Olympus with a housing. Now on the other hand, addiction has gripped me and I take my Canon 5D SLR underwater. As the previous poster said, housings for cameras like that run in the thousands. Hell, I don't think there's a single component (camera, lens, housing, strobe) in my current setup, besides maybe a lens port, which is less than the cost of this entire rig. So from that perspective it's a great deal. Slap a strobe of some sort on it and you're in even better shape.
