Digital Cube's i-station UDIC gets hands-on treatment
One thing's for sure about Digital Cube's i-station UDIC: it's not your mother's electronic dictionary. Boasting a full (albeit tiny) QWERTY keyboard and a unique swivel screen, the HDD-packin' device could easily be mistook for a miniature UMPC (a convertible one, at that). Just in case you've forgotten, it also features a 4.3-inch display, text-to-speech support and an Alchemy AU 1250 CPU. Pricing has been set for ?398,000 ($396) / ?448,000 ($446) in the Korean market for the 30GB / 60GB editions, and you can check out a video of some spicy hands-on action in the read link below.

The flattening is a movement related to high-end technologies. ¿Do you have any information on this? I think the student who started it lives in US and has recently published a bestseller. Thank you...
could you be a little bit more specific? I'm sure flattening is interesting, but I would like to know something more about it and about this popular book you say. When I hear of flattening I imagine one of this new techies movements... any other suggestion?
Looks like she is running Vista
its a cool device but, the markets are so flooded with crap nowadays that this thing will be forgotten soon.
I remember when I was in HS how the Korean/ Chinese kids had these and were allowed to use them during tests - and I remembered how they used them to cheat.
Fortunately, test centers woke up and banned both electronic "devices" and cellular phones to prevent accessing internet data in the classroom.
In my classroom, I actually set up a cellular/ wifi jammer (courtesy of Ebay) to keep my students from texting and getting to the internet during tests.
Best thing is, since I control the technology budget - the school financed it !
Korean / Chinese???? Flashpoint, don't lump Koreans in with those "lowly Chinese" cuz they are different each other more than you thought and it's a big insult for the Koreans. Okay? Thanx.

UDIC? I'd immediately want to pronounce that as "you dick" and as a result I don't think I can take this product seriously. I'm that immature.
