MovieBeam to have one last go at it?
When MovieBeam shut down operations last December, we had a feeling we wouldn't be mourning for long, but we definitely didn't see it playing out like this. Reportedly, Movie Gallery is asking for bankruptcy court approval to sell its VOD service to one Dar Capital Limited for a cool $2.25 million. Should the deal go down, the firm would technically pick up 1,800 customers who had once shelled out for the dedicated set-top-box -- but really, why on Earth would any halfway sane investor exhume this thoroughly decomposed corpse and attempt to breathe new life into it?

Didn't they spend 10 million to buy MovieBeam? Now unloading it for $2.25 heh.
A 75% loss is always better than 100% loss.
The best part is they spent the $10 million thinking they had something that could compete with Blcokbuster's Total Access and Netflix, but refused to spend any money on advertising anything.
Working there a few months before the official bankruptcy filing was like working in Bizarro world. They were spending money left and right on completely useless crap that they somehow thought was going to turn things around for them.
that asymmetrical right side is really getting me randy.
It's making my eye twitch. Did M C Esher design this?
Will it play doom?
will you will yourself out of existence, will?
Will's mom plays Doom.
Sooo, what does it do? :-\
is it still possible to get a refund on the box?
