White seems odd for Apple now... but I would.
I would too. Wait... what?
I would... buy it!
Hell yeah I'd buy it in white.
white seems odd????
....ever seen a macbook
.....ipod
You can make your current iPhone looks similar to this with the glossy white InCase Slider case.
Yes; White seems odd. iPods are no longer available in white. And now that the iMac has gone aluminum, that leaves the MacBook as the lone white Apple product. I wouldn't expect the MacBook to last much longer in white.
i hope you don't go around saying things like "glossy white InCase Slider case" in real life
I'd hit it too.
i would hit that!
@Caleb:
You are forgetting the Mac Mini, TimeCapsule, Airport Extreme, AppleTV, Mighty Mouse, and I am sure there are more. All white. My little MacBook is not alone. Haha.
Don't forget the white Apple Remotes...
I would feel gay with that. If they make it white they need a black option.
@PerfectC
I am gay, and I prefer a black iPhone.
If all it takes for you to feel gay is having a white phone... maybe there's something you need to come to terms with. Don't be ashamed of who you are.
I think this would be a great way to bring back the classic glossy white style that was popular four or five years ago. I really like it. Just give people of choice between white or black, plus more colors down the line and you're all set. I'd definitely get one if these photos turn out to be legit. Those holding out for a new phone will most likely go for an updated iPod Touch.
Thing is, this pic is a fake. The first leaked pic that Engadget posted (http://www.macrumors.com/2008/04/26/black-case-iphone-photo-just-a-3rd-party-cover/) is just a cover for the current iPhone.
And this one looks identical, except its white. Notice that there is no power button or sim card slot. Also notice that the "camera" is much larger than in real life.
The sensors are too easily photoshopped.
The pic on the right is just so obviously fake. Just look at the home button, and then look where it should be.
@rob,
yes white does seem odd.
ever looked at an iPod? oh wait, they dont make white iPods anymore
What I don't understand is if these people have their hands on a 3G iphone, why do they only post 1 or 2 pictures from the weirdest angles? Also, on a maclife article it pointed out that on one picture there is no speaker cover, or dock connector. I don't think it won't be all black/white, I just think that some pictures are fake.
Why do we suddenly have a bunch of people coming out of the closet on a technology site? Let's leave that for a site where people care about others' sexuality....
@Kyle: read the thread. It was straightboy there (PerfectC) who brought up the "gayness of white".
I'd prefer black too. White is so breeder. ;P
I'm 3G iPhone, BITCH.
Very Funny!!!
BIT-CHES! Show Charlie Murphy your iTitties.
It's only the real thing if Apple's lawyers come a-knocking. You should know that by now.
You make a very valid point.....no tickey...no laundry.
Exactly, and Apple does not waste anytime taking legit pictures down. Since these pictures have been posted on other websites since Monday or Tuesday, this "leaked pictures" post is a complete waste.
I will give the white picture credit for using that posted case spec sheet, but that black one does not even have the menu button in the center, what a joke.
yeah, these are fake. the pictures of the back are just a white colorwared 1st gen iphone.i surprised no one else caught this.
also, the extra sensor on top looks exactly like the one on the left, shadows and all. and the extra hole looks to be drawn in with ms paint. one word(or is it two?)................PHOTOSHOPED!!!!!!!!!
Still gotta like that they kept in the glare/reflection on the screen...it looks like a Sony camera was used to snap the original
BUT... What if it *was* real and Apple are not sending takedowns because they want people to think it's *not* real because they didn't send takedowns?
The old Kansas City Shuffle...
i like it. i mean the one on the right. the white looks kinda gay. 3G will be nice, and gps.
kinda gay, you mean like bisexual? hot!
I'm sure that white phone is attracted to other white phones of the same gender. :)
oh yeah, iphones are so gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Wait, no, using that word just makes you sound uneducated. Way to go!
Hmm, white iPhone has your gay-dar ding dinging? You're the homo, not the phone...
Guys come on,He likes Skillet.That's a great band.Cut him some slack.
I'm sure he meant gay as the old school version.That white is happy...
yeah,even I can't help him
I think Stein means to say "Metro".
WeiPhone is just a scam to get traffic to their site.
dont ever believe them.
They claiming they had the 4.6BL unlock when they didnt.
I hate those scammers.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Apple paid someone to make those to throw people off from the true photos?
could you repeat that? i was adjusting my tinfoil hat
No... I don't.
Allan-
Why make fakes then? It benefits no one except Apple.
jake... can i be your apprentice? each further post of yours has mee shaken and stirred at your towering powers of deduction
I would spend a few hours photoshopping this just to be on the front page of Engadget and have my webste signature in the corner of the photo.
A few hundred (or thousand) hits woud pay for my time. It's well worth it.
@spass
a few thousands hits certainly doesn't "pay for your time"
...because the crazy apple fans (fueled by engadget hate) just cuss and bitxh and don't click ads.
take it from me. :)
JakeB - Some people like making fakes to watch people go "zomg it's so ugly" or "do want", or to increase frenzy. It's a weird form of marketing, where it's something that Apple may not control, but benefits them anyway.
@ Jeff:
You seem frustrated. Are you affiliated with weiphone?
Apparently before the iPhone was announced, they had several models internally to keep people off the trail. With the secrecy at Apple, it's perfectly plausible that they are leaking (or feeding suspected leakers) fake photos.
to phanbouy-
yes, yes you may grasshopper, lol
