Since these other people are being jerks, I'll explain for you. Benjamin refers to Benjamin Franklin, who, in case you didn't know, invented both electricity and the bifocals. In American slang, a "Benjamin" refers to a pair of bifocals, usually priced around $100 dollars or so, is exchanged in the shops for items, working on a barter system. So, the price of these "shades" are two pairs of bifocals (or one bottle of electricity, which is the equivalent of two Benjamin’s).

And I think its safe to say Mike realises that benjamins refer to a dollar bill. I know that. What I personally don't know (and what Mike was asking) was the denomination of the dollar bill, be it 1, 5, 10, 20 , 50 or 100.
