I've been using a crappy Nokia flip for 3 years now. It's a great phone, but it doesn't really do anything else.
Everybody knows that a 3G iPhone is coming, but the other features are still a mystery. Will it have GPS? 3-5 megapixel camera, with video? How restricted with the apps actually be? Is everyone in the app-store going to try to charge for things that jailbroken iPhones currently do for free? Will they allow a proper messenger client? (Signs point to 'no')
I couldn't care less about 3G data. It's not that much faster (and the latency is just as bad). Also, if you can't tether, and Safari won't let you download files, and email doesn't support file attachments, what good is 3G anyway? Is the update going to change all that?
It's the other features that matter - like cut and paste. Unfortunately, we don't currently know anything concrete about the other features.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
