ASUS P560 sports Windows Mobile 6.1, many acronyms
Buried underneath the hoopla surrounding the announcement of ASUS' Lamborghini-branded ZX1 at CeBIT, the more mellow P560 was also announced, featuring pretty much every spec the average WinMo buyer could want these days in a package that speaks far, far less about the car you're driving (or wish you were driving, anyway). HSDPA, WiFi, 3.2 megapixel autofocus cam, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, GPS, microSDHC slot, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, and Microsoft's freshest build of Windows Mobile Professional -- 6.1, that is -- all have managed to find their way into the P560's unassuming shell. Not bad, though the €500 (about $772) price tag could scare a few folks away when it launches next month.

what is that world clock app?
Asus's own GUI. That's also why it has Home and Back buttons.
Like TouchFLO 3D
is it touch?
That is so ugly. Come on Asus you can do better. Specs are good though. My lord the clock just looks hideous. =P
ASUS' codename for its world domination plans is called
"RACE TO THE BOTTOM: PART IV"
They will force the cash strapped world to downgrade to laptops lacking optical drives and hard drives larger than 10GB - and they will push cellular phones for the equally cash strapped mobile phone market that is lacking features found in the iPhone and more expensive models.
Once they've achieved 60% market penetration, they will issue the "un log" command to their devices.
The world will quickly realize their internet devices have been disabled and they will go into a panic - killing one another and finally, themselves.
Asus will emerge from the ashes triumphant and will serve the heads of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to the evil emperor Xanu on a platter made of bronze and einsteinium.
Flashpoint,
The pharmacy called... you're medication refill is ready to be picked up.

"lacking features found in the iPhone"
I know that you're being facetious (and are possibly insane) but still, really?
iPhone features Asus lacks:
• Multitouch
Asus features iPhone lacks:
• HSDPA
• 3.2MP Camera
• GPS
• MicroSD slot
• Vibrate??
• Doesn't look like a woman's makeup case (ok, tastes vary, but it's hardly what anyone would call a "manly" design eh?).
Of course, this same feature comparison could be applied to iPhone vs. the SE X1, Nokia n95, HTC Tytn II except that the SE and HTC HAVE multitouch.
The guy running the Apple hype machine is good.
but does it run linux?
Can you read??? Its Windows Mobile Pro 6.1
buddy...do u just look for linux in a fone???
u askd d same for iphone...
what i really dont understand is... these new phones are pretty sexy actually and the new 6.1 interface is pretty good especially with the new UI addons they have been putting on top to make it sexy...
but why the hell are they so expensive, hell an iphone is 500$ at most... with 8gb at minimum, yet we have this and others likeit debuting for 700$+ WTF>
BECAUSE unlike the iPhone networks subsidise these phones. Making them cheaper on contract.
Chris, I hope you don't mean this Asus phone is "pretty sexy" It looks like crap! Now the HTC Diamond looks great. Why are the prices so high is a good question. I am looking foward to the Sony XPERIA X1 http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/mobilephones/summary/x1 which pretty much has it all for what I need.
Agree. The HTC Touch Diamond and the SE Xperia X1 are way sexier than the Asus. Now it's only the 3G iPhone left in my wishlist.
Asus makes good looking laptops, but the looks of their handhelds have never quite made it to the HTC level. Come on guys!
i meant the Sony and HTC lol :) i know this isnt sexy
I am waiting for anything with the android UI :)
Please can someone just freakin put out an Android phone already!
The appeal of using old-style flip-down gap-in-the-middle vintage clock-radio numbers (with a new font) on an LCD is what, exactly? Nostalgia?
How can 2 points on Earth be 39 hours apart? Hmmmm.
