Apple to add LED BLU displays to all MacBooks in 2009 says paper
Word on the street -- and by "street" we mean "the internet" -- is that Apple will begin exclusive use of LED BLUs for displays in all of its MacBooks come 2009. According to the Chinese-language paper Economic Daily News, the computer-maker's Taiwanese supplier of LED backlight units, Kenmos, will increase shipments in the coming year of the brighter, longer-lasting, better dressed components. Of course, the paper could be making this all up to toy with our emotions and break our little hearts... but why would they do that?

@helloUser
I wanted that joke.
Zak: It's pretty obvious that he meant that putting a great backlight behind a 6bit screen is kinda a waste.
LOL @ Zak for trying to instigate.
Zak - I see you don't understand that putting great backlight behind a crappy screen still gives you a crappy image, huh? I can't say I'm surprised.
Don't you just love it when Engadget shows their true bais to apple by having stuff like BLU LED in the title to sound cool? 99% of the time they refer to an LED display it's LED backlit or just LED, for apple it's BLU LED, not even in the proper order so as to ensure it sounds cooler/better.
Great job guys!!! I'm sure all the Apple fanboys are eating it up too.
?
Thanks for posting and adding to the "apple related article post count". It's like a big mystery to you, isn't it? Why Engadget keeps posting all this Apple stuff all the time? It couldn't possibly be because of the popularity of the articles based on the sheer number of comments in every single one, could it?
Naaaaah.
I swear, you Apple-hating, bottom feeding mouth breathers are your own worst enemies. The fact that you like to continually prove how dumb you are by posting in Apple related articles, thereby making them more popular, is just the icing on the cake.
forumsid987: Engadget does this to make a living. They will post whatever the most people will click on to get them more ad money. We all know they post a lot of Apple-related news, and it's because Apple is interesting to a large demographic right now. If you do not enjoy reading the articles, simply skip over them.
Zak: STFU. You make me embarrassed to own a Macbook Pro. Take your fanboyism elsewhere imo.
Disclaimer: I own two computers, one runs MacOS and one runs Windows. I use and enjoy them equally. I am not flammable :).
ENGADGETS HAZ TEH BIASZ!!!11?
Hey Vic, how about you cram it in your pie hole? If you're embarrassed to own a MacBook Pro, that is entirely your problem, and you're an idiot if you're going to try to blame it on me. I mean do you really measure your self worth by what people on the internet say? Because that's just sad.
As far as fanboyism, did you even read what I said? If you disagree with it, how about you provide a counterpoint instead of being a bottom feeding mouth breather? This tradition of Apple haters whining about how they hate Apple related articles IN Apple-related articles has been going on for a long time, and it's amusing to me how so many of them still don't get how this works. If you think that's fanboyism on my part, you're pretty naive.
And you're not flammable? Try again, the number of OSes you use does not exclude you from being a dumbass.
I didn't want to be the harbinger of bad news, but if you rearrange the letters in Apple --- you get Papel. Which is spanish for paper.
Man I'm lonely.
By 2009 ALL laptop manufacturers will use this technology... And my Vaio along with other laptops use this already, so this is a pretty pointless announcement.
Word on the the internet?
Love how none of you guys managed to comment about the fact that Engadget never used BLU to describe any other backlight unit. Or spoke of how uncommon it is, or mentioned how they "unintentionally" put it first, or how it does sound pretty cool when you say BLU LED when everyone is used to white LED or LED backlit.
I'm not saying apple isn't popular, hell with their cool products they deserve the news...but come on engadget, is it really THAT hard to be unbiased when you are doing the writing?
