Everybody knows us bloggers are a bunch of pantsless hooligans, but a lesser known fact is that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith comes with a new pants-free mode, as demonstrated in a lengthly sequence on this week's episode of How I Met Your Mother. Problem is, Jason Segel -- who we most fondly remember as Nick the drummer from Freaks and Geeks -- likely wouldn't be caught dead playing Aerosmith on the guitar, so stop trying to mess with our heads CBS. We know the truth.

With a show initials with H at the start and M at the end, a cheerleading like scene to unfocused eyes and your half asleep, it was enough of me to delete the post very quickly in NetNewsWire.

Apparently they are trying to appear "hip" and "cool" by having the characters of that insipid show play Guitar Hero but they end up looking lame in the process.
maybe guitar hero controllers are just another piece to his 78 piece drumset.

Yeah, I need some explanation as to why this is funny and/or interesting.
It's not.
"Screen Grabs" is simply becoming desperate for anything that's *not* an iPhone showing up on NCIS, because the engadget readers complain too much when that happens ...again.
Actually I cant stand the iPhone, but I will point out that Barney (Neal Patrick Harris) uses the iPhone in this show, which btw is friggin win, and he uses it the correct way and not upside down.
David Cook (The new American Idol) has that GH commercial where he is pantsless... Maybe it's the new trend?

He had been playing guitar hero pants-less in his apartment before he had to rush to the hospital for his friend. For whatever reason, they didnt choose to use THAT picture...
I'm sure Jason Segel would play Aerosmith on the guitar, haven't you seen him perform his Dracula opera? Anyone who would do that would play some GuitarHero Aerosmith.

So was he playing GH with an Aerosmith skin, or what he playing GH: Aerosmith because Hollywood-types typically get stuff before us normal types? I wondered that when I saw this episode.
And yes, How I Met Your Mother frequently has a tech gadget here and there. Marshall and Barnie were playing the Wii in a couple of episodes and their cellphones are always "hip."
