Stone buys Rock -- could this be any more perfect?
When Rock fell under administration earlier this month, we honestly had no idea if we'd ever see that swank Pegasus 210 hit the market. Today, we still have no clue about the latter, but we do know that the failed company has been caught by the most impeccably named suitor Planet Earth has to offer: Stone. Reportedly, Stone Group will dish out "an undisclosed sum" for Rock, after which the two will meld together and form an all-powerful, completely unstoppable boulder. Watch out Mount Rushmore, you've got some serious competition now.

Stone buys rock, rock buys paper, paper buys scissors.
Doode, scissors buys paper.
@ derX
you get a negative rank just because your spelling of "dude" made me want to strike a child
@Colin Potter
you get a negative rank just because your striking of children makes me want to smack a lion.
you get a negative rank just because your smacking of lions makes me want to punch a clown.
you all get negative ranks because that clown just landed on the table with the punch bowl and ruined my carpet
and you guys all get a positive rank for making me chuckle
and richbum gets a negative rank for breaking the chain of negative ranking.
and computer.dude.28 gets a positive rank for continuing the chain of negative ranking
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER
so when will Apple buy Fruit of the Loom?
I like the way you think....
i like the way you improve my morale with compliments
@ Colin Potter: I'm always happy to praise creative 'tangential thought'... in this case, thinking outside the, er, rocks...
Is Fruit of the Loom making black faux-turtlenecks ? They'll buy it pronto.
Or sue. Can they sue ?
We now know why MicroHoo! never worked out...
I already tried guys, don't even bother.
It doesn't blend.
And they'll play Doom...and Crysis. As for welcoming them as overlords, that's your choice.
I believe that was in accordance to how rocks and stones (probably) shouldn't blend.
Theyll blend allright. Its called an emulsion.
Geologist's everywhere are jealous today, when news came about of a merger between arch mineral-toting enemies. Coming together as one Stone & Rock have formed a relationship sure to last until the waters carve it to bits.
pun overdose X-|
With their combined strength, Stone and Rock may be able to compete with Boulder Corp., which currently has the largest share of the market.
In other news, Pebble, Inc. has declared bankruptcy. Its CEO stated in a press conference today, "We small firms simply cannot compete with the large companies dominating the market." He declined further questions.
word on the street is the company is moving their HQ to Bedrock and making Fred Flintstone the new CEO.
"Stone buys Rock?" Yabba dabba doooooo!
Rock is dead. Long live stone!
Rock (& Rolls) Will Never Die :)
I love Engadget for bringing humor back into my life while also providing me with the best information about technology!
I like you for having a weird avatar.
Weird? Isn't that the video game Jak? Never played it myself though.
I don't know what all the big deal is about...
As an owner of 2 rocks, I can testify that I almost came when I heard this on thursday, but then again I was very drunk.
but I'm calm now, bit late on the news engadget.
I'll put my money on Pebble, with a little deposition and compaction, it could come out as a hard competitor. Down with monopolies!
:)

I'm looking for investors in my new start-up called Clay..
So maybe they should hire The Rock and Stone Cold Austin as their PR guys :)
i think there'e a song called "planet rock".
I was probably the only one who thought of Pokémon before "Rock Paper Scissors", hmm.
Stone, Paper, Sissors
I think that's backwards. Fruit of the Loom needs to buy Apple, Orange, Peachtree, and Banana Republic. Only then will the planets and stars align and render this galaxy into a meta singularity.
So will Jay-Z be throwing up the "Stone" now?
D'OH! Roll, not rolls... I already had lunch!
I believe you are correct!
Oh boy... Engadget freaking out again.... yes, Planet Rcok ... a song...
So, what are all the greek works for rocks? I know Petra (also a band) :)
Why do engadget comments pages undulate? Expand and contact?
