Even more "leaked" 3G iPhone photos make it out
Either Apple's getting leakier or the fakers are getting fake...ier, but the latest round of supposed 3G iPhone pictures is upon us courtesy of Dutch site iPhoneclub.nl and our old friend Mr. Blurrycam, and they're pretty convincing. You'll notice that they show a device almost identical to the one in the last set of images we saw, with a white back and three dots inside the earpiece. Of course, that's not to say some aspiring Photoshoppers haven't just been copying each other, but we're not here to kill your dreams, people. You'll just have to trust your friends for that. Hit the read link for the rest of the pics.
Update: Looks like we killed iPhoneclub's website, check after the break for the other two shots, courtesy of Macfreak.nl.

Make a video.
Wwhat @ May 27th 2008 5:59PM
That there is no video shows it's real, iphones can't do video after all! :P
Carl Vitullo @ May 27th 2008 11:38PM
I don't think he meant with the phone...
brickwood @ May 28th 2008 1:41AM
"This is the dumy iphone that some equipment manufacturers have received, the external dimensions are correct, the phone(+colour) is not."
Comment from the read link. Sounds right to me.

I'll wait until Apple actually announces this before I make judgement on the design.
BatteryAcid @ May 27th 2008 6:11PM
Of coarse you would. jkjk
Apple does have some nice designs. I don't really mind what I've seen so far of this design. At first it looked like a cheap case but knowing apple I think it may feel and look like a glassy stone.
Reader @ May 27th 2008 6:33PM
Yeah last time people did that (nano) they ended up regretting it when it was actually Apple because they now thought it was great. I understand where you're coming from.
CraigJ @ May 27th 2008 6:45PM
Agreed on the waiting for Apple. Frankly that looks like a case for the v1 iPhone. What's up with that silver tab think on the screen?
Unitedlicious @ May 27th 2008 7:42PM
I agree. I'm hoping it won't be made of the same material as the white macbook. Somehow I just feel against it.
hoorayformacs @ May 27th 2008 8:46PM
CraigJ:
It just looks like he's got a case without any internals to it. The home button is missing as well, and the speaker up by the ear has what looks like the back of the case behind it, not a speaker somewhere in there.
DiscoCat5 @ May 28th 2008 2:09AM
maybe the erason that they are all white plastic (this is jusyt a theroy nothingm ore) could be because "they are design references sent out to 3rd party manufacturers", that it is simply cheapoer and easier to make a mockup out of plastic than aluminium?... penny for your thoguhts.
triforceOFcourage @ May 28th 2008 3:51AM
Okay, so I won't pass full judgment to this until it's official because the public has been fooled before when it comes to apple rumors. Anyway, while the v1 iPhone takes the design from a sleek MBP, this looks more akin to the eMac. Some crappy, ugly brick that we all wish we could forget. Ah well...here's hoping it's a fake, right?
Rpgmaker @ May 28th 2008 5:09PM
Either you were being sarcastic or just goes to show how sheep Apple fanboys are. You can speak about the design, it's a photo. My judgment: nothing new, it's almost the same as the current iPhone, I don't know why someone would expect a different design tho.
If you thought it was a brilliant and innovative design you would've said it, even if it was a fake, just sayin'.
DiscoCat5 @ May 29th 2008 8:03AM
@rpg maker, oh no he has to wait until it is (lets say, hypertheticaly, that it is real) til the general public and the stupid pretentious pithy lame artists/ writers/starbucks fanclub/people who live in lofts / struggling painters that really suck / 17 yo girls whos parents are really loaded and drive big black four wheel drives to the organic grocers, have all had there say. then and only then will he know what judgement he must pass.
as you say just another apple flavoured sheep.
Engadgetluvsappl @ May 27th 2008 5:38PM
Where are the internals of the device? It does look very yummy, though.
CUBSWILLWIN @ May 27th 2008 6:28PM
These look a bit more convincing, yet I still am not fully convinced. Usually apple devices are always much different from rumor photos
Richard Lai @ May 27th 2008 8:37PM
I'm not convinced either - it's hard to see the extra curviness, and it just looks like another replacement case for the current iPhone (like the black one that was thought to be the new iPhone).
I think a bottom view shot will be a better reference.
Cash @ May 27th 2008 10:03PM
Looks like an empty protective case to me. Where's the beef?
OneLove @ May 27th 2008 5:38PM
thats way too thin
LiqwidZero @ May 27th 2008 5:39PM
But at least it's plastic backed. I hate the matte metal back on the iPhone. It always slips out of my hands.
MBS @ May 27th 2008 5:45PM
I know, I mean just look at all the injuries the macbook air has caused with it's thinness! This thing is just going to slice right through your pant's pocket and probably your leg too. ouch!
phanbouy @ May 27th 2008 6:12PM
Will it fit in a greeting card envelope?
Ryan Trevisol @ May 27th 2008 7:08PM
@LikwidZero: Plastic back means way better reception, too! :)
austin @ May 27th 2008 7:59PM
@ Ryan
what do you think the black plastic piece on the bottom of the iPhone is for?
thats where the antennas are.
giantenemycrab @ May 27th 2008 5:38PM
White back? Ehhh... Looks tacky to me. I really like the 1g iPhone back better.
CraigJ @ May 27th 2008 6:42PM
I agree on the finish, but I think the curved back would be more ergonomic from an "actually holding it in your hands and using it" perspective...
Larry @ May 28th 2008 4:12AM
There's no way Apple would make another product with a white back.
Everyone knows they're trying to fade out white in products...
DogzOfWar @ May 27th 2008 5:39PM
Would it be possible for someone to take a "leaked" picture that wasn't as blurry as a Grandma with glaucoma swimming in a vat milk on a cloudy day?
Ray @ May 27th 2008 5:48PM
I guess autofocus is a luxury in the Netherlands.
phanbouy @ May 27th 2008 5:52PM
someone "leaked" on the lens alright
nicleT @ May 27th 2008 9:07PM
Ha ha ha!! My exact thoughts but you found the so perfect way to describe it. Man, you made my evening!!
super_spyder @ May 27th 2008 10:17PM
no, because no one knows how to use the macro mode on their camera
The Apple @ May 28th 2008 1:43AM
No, Because (I Think) They Are Fake...
If they were real, i think people would REALLY try to get pictures infocus, increases the belief of the images.
Kaiser-Machead @ May 27th 2008 5:42PM
If this means that they can bestow the soon-to-be-retired brushed aluminum backplate to the iPod touch, then I'm all for it. I love the metal backplate, but it won't play nice with the new internals of the 3G iPhone.
Short of the sort of egg-like white color, the plastic-backed iPhone doesn't look bad at all to me, but I'll take a matte black model, kthnxbai.
lolec @ May 27th 2008 5:44PM
It looks like a W.C. accessory .
Darak @ May 27th 2008 5:47PM
Is it just me or do the reflections look like a certain bodily fluid? Somebody a bit to excited to get "hands-on" with a 3G?
John @ May 27th 2008 5:48PM
was going to say.. there must be plenty of milky white stains on pants in that place..
Steffen Jobbs @ May 27th 2008 8:42PM
Bodily fluids just to you. I thought they were reflected flourescent tubes.
Anthony @ May 27th 2008 5:49PM
Does Steve Jobs just hate camera phones? As long as there's no flash I think there's a significant part of the market that won't embrace this. It was the first area of convergence- music came second.
Nokia's doing well w/ their camera phones. I'm surprised we haven't seen any "leaked" iPhones w/ some sort of flash (xenon or led).
Engadgetluvsappl @ May 27th 2008 5:59PM
If Apple were to add a decent camera module and a Xenon flash into the iPhone, it would no longer be thin. Take apart a N95/N82 for example and you'll see that it's the camera module that takes up alot of the thickness of the device.
Panathas17 @ May 28th 2008 12:12PM
That's what cameras are for...
Anthony @ May 28th 2008 12:35PM
Panathas17: I ride a bicycle 200 miles a week. I see lots of interesting things that I'd like to take photos of & a 2mp phone camera just isn't going to cut it. Nokia N95 w/ geotagging is simple, efficient & the results look pretty good. I don't want to carry around 2 things.
As for Sony- I have a Handycam & one of their Cybershots. Both sit in a box on my desk. Their K850 I tried but it just didn't have the other phone features I've come to expect.
I'm surprised I'm being low ranked on this one. It's not inflammatory at all.
morehumanthanhuman @ May 27th 2008 5:51PM
How is that the full thing is out of focus but not the reflections?
Wwhat @ May 27th 2008 6:01PM
Because the electronics focused on the reflection of course, it's like half the pictures from CES and such where they had the camera focus on the glass of the display not the device in it.
Meh... @ May 27th 2008 5:51PM
The 2G iPhone is just now starting to catch up in terms of features. About time.
Now we just have to wait for other phone companies to catch up in terms of interactivity. Should only take them another 4 years.
It's like having a shiny apple that tastes like poo, and a poo-looking apple that tastes great. It's difficult to have both. But the Motorola C130 has gotten one end of the spectrum almost covered.
Chris Macdonald @ May 27th 2008 5:52PM
OMG that is sexy!!!!!!!!
phanbouy @ May 27th 2008 5:56PM
thanks, i knew i was missing the taste of throw-up in my mouth today
Chris Macdonald @ May 27th 2008 6:03PM
heh.. you're welcome
