New DS Lite colors in the wild

While Nintendo has yet to confirm its upcoming trio of new DS Lite colors for Europe (and hopefully the rest of us soon after), the much-leaked units have already been spotted in the wild and unboxed for your viewing pleasure. In addition to its regular warnings about getting outside and not hitting people in the face, Nintendo might want to inform consumers on the danger of eating their handheld consoles -- we'd hate to see unsuspecting Advance Wars fans succumbing to the incredible temptation these new colors present. Now, how about a little bit of confirmation and release dates for these, Nintendo?

Update: Turns out Nintendo indeed confirmed the new colors -- a solid week ago. They're hitting Europe on June 13th. Still no word on the US, though, unless we missed another memo. [Thanks, Daniel]

Colours are all good and all, but where is that next-gen console Nintendo? I want a Virtual Boy without the hideous usability and visual constraints. Make it happen; you are sitting on a pile of cash, after all :)

Nintendo, enough, bust out that ultra sleek uber Lite....

I need to drop a 150 clams....and I'm not buying the same form factor. So, let's go already, give us the NEW DS uber Lite already!

It's been two years since you launched DS Lite and four years since you launched the DS....you guys pump out new models every two years or so. So, we're due.

I am charmed with Nintedo. A few years ago, fall in love with Super Mario 64, and it seems to me to be marvellous that recycle the games for the new consoles that they launch onto the market. This way it is possible to enjoy the games that we liked in his moment with the new technological formats.

The red one looks hot. I guess they're taking queues from the Sony camp with the PSP coming out in more colors. I'm still sticking to my white DS Lite and black PSP though. I prefer the classics.
