Do you know what time it is in Tokyo?
4:00 PM. Tomorrow. It's the future!
Should be good. I'm still hoping for a serious compatibility break so that they can fix as much as possible without worrying about outdated crap.
Go POSIX!
Who gives a crap.
I'll be watching!
:P
I think I just pee'd in my pants a little.
I've been disappointed by every Windows release since Windows 98 got USB support. If you can push the Start button in Windows 7 and use less than 200MB of RAM I'll be surprised.
Wait a minute - there going to announce something -new-? But Apple hasn't even begun to talk much about 10.6, or 11.0 for that matter, so where are they going to get their ideas?
Surely this isn't something they designed from the ground up. We all saw what happened with Windows ME. You think this could be the long-anticipated Windows YOU?
Actually, I did hear about a new feature in Windows 7. Instead of 'drivers', they are going to call them 'chauffeurs'. Woohoo!
Should they really be doing this when Vista still has the lowest consumer response since Windows ME? Shouldn't they spend a bit more time making Vista work like it should?

That outfit is actually a jumpsuit that he wears on top of his regular clothes in case he gets pied. That way he'll have a clean pair of cloths underneath that he can wear.

successor to Vista??? for once i thought they were talking about Windows Mobile 7.
Please, Please Media Center improvements!
Betcha they'll promise the mother of all vaporware, WinFS, in Win7, only to yank it a couple months before launch. Curse you Microsoft! I always fall for that.
So does this mean that MS is already flushing Vista down the toilet or that in a few more years Windows 7 will be ready?
I'm sure they won't make the same mistake twice. Windows 7 should be a solid OS as long as it's built on Windows XP.
So instead of using "The Wow starts Now", they'll use "I'm in Heaven with Seven". I'd better put a copyright on that phrase or they'll steal it from me.
boner
who cares? After waiting 6 YEARS for that steaming pile of dogshit aka Vista I switched to the Dark Side and could not be happier. Best of luck with Windoze 7 Bill but I won't be back. O and as another poster wrote, I also will consider 7 a FAILURE if it's anything short of Minority Report....
Here's a sneak preview: it took 300 years to develop and costs a total of 500 billion dollar, and it has absolutely no code from vista nor xp or w2k.
WE SWEAR ALL THIS MIGHT BE TRUE (in some alternate universe).
