Ah, summertime. Hot dogs, baseball, beer, bikinis, submersible pool speakers. Yeah, we said that. This speaker, called the Weatherproof Submersible Wireless Speaker (bonus points for creativity, guys) from Grace Audio is good for up to 9 feet of underwater music fun. The turtle-like unit connects to any music source up to 150 feet away, runs for about six hours on a single charge, and will set you back around $149 with additional speakers for $99 each. So what happens when the battery runs out... it sinks?

Just add in those floating disco lights and you're good to go
If they figure out a way to make a submersible PC (with monitor) that can play CRYSIS - and obviously features water cooling - then and only then will they have my interest.
If that happens people will really start to wet their pants or swim suit
Also how long do you think you think you will be playing crysis, before or after you become a prune

Other than playing the theme from Jaws, I'm not sure what the use would be. Well, I suppose you use a microphone attached to your stereo to ask the guy that's been listening to your new speakers for the last half hour if he's okay...

You should put glass over the pool, cause then it would be like your dancing on water. And people love to do that!
then wouldnt you just be able to use other speakers since they are no longer going to get wet?

according to a suppliers site... hardly upto much.
Most speakers can't even touch water... and most humans can't stay in 9 feet of water for 30 minutes... if they want to stay alive that is..
@insom It's good for 30 SECONDS underwater, and not even that. When I did that, mine broke.
I am now on my 2nd Aqua Sounder. Both have broken with less than one day use. The concept of this speaker is great and collectively, the two of them have worked for about 8 hours.
Neither have been held underwater (except the first one for about 30 seconds), neither have been thrown or tossed around. I am highly disappointed in this product. I have a pool and lots of parties. People have been instructed not to touch the speakers, as I know they are really more delicate than they should be.
Symptoms (new batteries are installed): Power shutting off on it's own, or coming on on it's own; lights turn on when volume buttons are touched; Will not connect to port; Will not connect to channel; loud high-pitched noise comes from speaker; if you look through the light window, you can see there is water in there.
This being a WATERPROOF speaker has left me dry. I am very skeptical about getting another speaker from you, as I'm sure it will break.
This was a birthday gift to me from my father and now after having sent both back, he is out the shipping and handling charges, as well. But, I don't think he should be paying to ship back and forth your defective products. It's not our fault.
They were ordered both times through Target.com.
