Sony Ericsson busts out a Ducati-themed Z770
We've seen plenty of gear co-branded by high-end automakers, but only Ducati's really putting out bike-themed gear, and the latest gadget to get dressed up in cycle gear is the Sony Ericsson Z770 flip phone. Due out in Italy this June, the Ducati Z770 isn't anything particularly special apart from that paint job and a special Ducati-themed HBH DS-220 headset, but if you're into tri-band GSM non-smartphones with slightly better browsers, it's not a bad piece of kit. Just remember to take your keys out of your bike when you wander off chatting away, alright?

My favorite cell phone brand combined with my all-time favorite motorcycle brand.
Then I found myself not caring.

The phone equivalent of a Ferrari and Lambo laptop.
Abuzar @ May 29th 2008 12:34AM
Yeah except those laptops by Acer, are actually, you know, good.
Sean @ May 29th 2008 1:00AM
but Acer didn't just stick some badges on their laptops, while this is just a theme, it's nice, but it doesn't make the phone run any faster.

For tools with blue-tooth headsets every where.

i swear if i see a power ranger talking on his cell phone im getting the hell off the highway and buying a horse.

@MARSHAK:
It's not the sportbike riders doing that. It's the old guys on touring bikes. There are plenty of helmets with built in bluetooth headsets now that cater to that crowd. They also have GPS, MP3 players, heated everything, etc etc on their Goldwings. Ridiculous. May as well stay in the office. Born to ride, free like the wind, my ass. More like "play dress up on the weekend and go back to my soccer mom after an hour in the saddle on the phone with our HR director".
Real bikes don't even usually have a freaking clock on them!

Real bikes are the ones you put together yourself from parts.
Richard Glitter @ May 29th 2008 10:23AM
But only if you fabricated the parts yourself from metals that you forged at home.

pfft... I've had a Duc theme on my T610 since I got it for some ridiculous price when it first came out... so ridiculous, my Ducati had to be second hand! (and friggin oooold... who can afford a new one?)
