AMD gets official with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 and PowerXpress
AMD's on a roll at Computex, and it's keeping the stream alive with two more decently important announcements. First off, the company is making the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 official, which is said to "triple top-of-the-line graphics performance in comparison to the previous generation ATI Mobility Radeon GPUs." The unit also enables laptop makers to include CrossFireX technology for the first time, so yeah, there's that. Moving on, we've got the low down on its PowerXpress technology, which enables users to "double or triple the performance of the integrated graphics processor when plugged into a wall socket or extend their battery life by over an hour while on the go." In actuality, it's a variant of ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology for lappies, giving folks the option to switch between a Mobility Radeon HD 3400 series GPU and an integrated AMD M780G without the need for a reboot. If your eyebrows just perked up, you can snag said tech on select Fujitsu-Siemens machines right now. All the gory details are linked below -- enjoy!Read - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 gets official

Can it run Crysis?
n0ob
Can Anything run Crysis
especialy on a radeon card
nope
on the contrary it can, like even 3650 can play with mild lag on lowest of settings. So I'm guessing 3850 and 3870 can play crisis at least on mid settings without any problems.
concerning amds puma stuff...
here is a test mad by a german notebooksite :

The freakin German site eventually claims as a part of thier concluson that they dont have a ready to be released prouct so all this is pre production prototype testing...aka BS
well...
maybe i should have mentioned that xD
but it still shows in which direction the performance of this platform wíll go...
as for the cpu it doesnt seem to be too fast...
a bit disapointing, but notebooks cpus nowadays are to powerful anyways, so this sould work out fine...
hope amd can set foot on the notebook market...
The 780G and CrossfireX will see to it setting foot on the laptop market and promptly putting a foot in 70% of the markets ass.
This is a good step toward high performance Lappies with a power saving option that will actually save power.
They should build it so CrossfireX will work with a 780G and an Nvidia dedicated card. Take the money everywhere you can.
I'm glad that now both Nvidia and ATI have this hybrid graphics tech where your laptop can have both a low-power integrated chip and a discrete GPU card and can switch between them.
But where is the Intel support??? Aren't the vast majority of notebooks built on Intel chipsets?! They need to hurry up and support this thing on "Centrino" platform or whatever!
