PST != PDT, we're in DAYLIGHT time, not STANDARD time, gawd almighty how I really REALLY hate how people mess this up, especially when you try to correct them and they are all flippant and act like it doesn't matter...uhm...yes it does, PST is 1 hour different vs. PDT, if it doesn't matter, try showing up to work 1 hour late during a time change, then tell me it doesn't matter!

as PST/EST is on DST, they add an hour on, it is still only an 8 hour time difference!!!
can't you add.. 10am + 8hrs = 6pm

Actually, the times in the headline are wrong since we are on Daylight Savings Time here in the US of A. So it should be 10 AM PDT and 1 PM EDT.
