Pharrell seeks N.E.R.D.vana with Gizmondo Enzo Tee
Look Pharrell, just because you've Yin'd Stefan Eriksson's crashed Enzo onto your Tee doesn't mean your own Enzo won't get Yang'd. Dietrich is out there, somewhere.

Dear snobs: Stand down. You don't own the gadget world, it OWNS YOU.
I get it; it hurts no one, it's the middle of the night, a new post will be up in a few hours, move on.
For those who feign 'not getting it': It's a shirt that immortalizes the image of the Gizmondo/wrecked Ferrari incident. Surely all of you 'Engadget' purists remember that? Perhaps you even typed 'LOL Douchebag' in the comments way back when?
Andir3.0 @ Jun 6th 2008 4:15AM
I'm just trying to figure out who this "Pharrell" guy is...
r3loaded @ Jun 6th 2008 4:16AM
I think it says, "Pharrell Williams has a picture of Stefan Eriksson's crashed Ferrari Enzo on his T-Shirt. He'd better watch out, his own Ferrari Enzo might get crashed, and 'Dietrich' might do it"
BananaBoat @ Jun 6th 2008 8:49AM
Are we to believe that of the very, VERY few people in the world that have Enzo's, this guy has one? (ofcourse I know he doesn't, I'm joking)
I guess some people aren't happy unless there is actual tech news to report at 2am in the morning, when most people are sleeping.
Personally, I'd like one of those T-Shirts, but only if the Enzo is red....it looks bizarre in blue.
BananaBoat @ Jun 6th 2008 8:51AM
Holy crap...he does have one...and it's....it's.....black X_X
WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?
Trey D. @ Jun 6th 2008 10:32AM
Pharrell = Pharrell Williams, one of the founding members of The Neptunes and N.E.R.D. (No One Ever Really Dies). DJ/Hip Hop/produces a lot of songs for big artists of the day.
Greg Baz @ Jun 6th 2008 10:31AM
The problem people are having with the post is that they dont understand the slang(if it is even slang) in the post. From the picture I was able to figure out that that dude that that may be in some kind of music group put the crashed Enzo on a t-shirt and he too has one and it could be him who may also do that at some time in the future. this issue is should I have to rely on my interpretation of a picture and my memory of a post from 2+ years ago to understand a post? .
CraigJ @ Jun 6th 2008 12:16PM
Jeeze. I thought everybody knew who N.E.R.D is. They are awesome. The whole Yin/Yang thing is somewhat puzzling though.

I guess they forgot about the "O", eh?
derX @ Jun 6th 2008 2:38AM
Well, duh, Nick, obviously it's about cheese, but exactly what?
What type? With what is it being served? Is there a wine pairing?
I am just a little bothered by the combination of Pharrel and cheese.
Okay, I've said my piece. I can calm down now.

"Thomas Ricker," you should be honored, your name gets quotation marks.
....and sorry about the loss of a job, but apparently Pharrell is doing something with cheese, so there's possibly a job opportunity, there.

It is proof that Engadget is going to sellout on use and start doing pop culture bull that affects NO ONE.
Take this dumb "news" post on the site please.
Jesse S @ Jun 6th 2008 2:48AM
They already post too much Apple news. (One product does not deserve more than 2-3 posts.)
phanbouy @ Jun 6th 2008 3:39AM
jesse, do you ever stop fucking trolling?
Frankie @ Jun 6th 2008 2:47AM
In for 4. But, which color to I wear first? Perhaps not the light mauve. Everyone will be wearing that color in a few weeks. Perhaps the celadon. That new polo from Ralph Lauren's collection that I tried on at Dillard's like looked sooo good on me even under that awful florescent. But that was really more of a kelly green. Guess there's always periwinkle. Hope these are still HOTT by the time the get here from ebay.
BTW who the fridge is this Erriksson guy, did he do phones that are now like sony or something?...
Funke, Tobias Dr. @ Jun 6th 2008 3:37AM
You forgot to mention: There's a sale at Penney's!
Marc-O @ Jun 6th 2008 2:48AM
Geeze, peeps, take a deep breath... It's going to be alright...
derX @ Jun 6th 2008 2:49AM

I really wish they had that shirt in black and red though.
tiuk @ Jun 6th 2008 10:56AM
I understood everything except who the fuck Pharrel is, but I just assumed he was in a band or something I'd never heard of.
Zorque @ Jun 6th 2008 3:28AM
OH NO ENGADGET MADE A POP CULTURE REFERENCE
It's not like they've been sneaking them into the actual article text for years, maybe you guys should try reading it sometime.

He cemented a secure nerd status (should that be N.E.R.D.?) in my mind when I saw a pic of him wearing a bootleg 'Blue Harvest' t-shirt in a magazine many years ago... Yes, many years before 'Family Guy' molested the sacred inside joke of 'Blue Harvest.'
Pharrell is a real nerd, don't be mad because he knocks back models.
Liam @ Jun 6th 2008 3:49AM
...And where could I find such a tee?
WarMouse @ Jun 6th 2008 4:04AM
Have 99% of you not been reading Engadget for over a year? Good lord. There were a million posts about Stefan Eriksson and the madness that ensued.
I can understand people asking "Okay, what's the reference here?" and then waiting for an answer. But you guys seemed to be pissed the f*** off for not being part of an inside joke that's been on the outside for awhile now.
This was huge news for awhile. It's now transitioned into media representation through a popular music figure. They made a small post on it, so that those of us who read the site a lot get something to chuckle about. Calm down.

For real... Besides... this site has a wider audience (of tech hungry, and not so..) people to appeal to. So every single story wont get your chops watering. It like the weather in London, if you dont like it... just wait a few min.
Besides all the people that wanted to know where the reference was.. there was a big friggin link (engadget style) for you to find out had you bothered.
Loneguitarist @ Jun 6th 2008 7:15AM
The comments here are starting to look like they're from /b/ ...
I don't see why though, I found this interesting and got it straight away... I wonder if Pharell has a Gizmondo
