BlackBerry Thunder touchscreen phone in live shot
Here's a little something that might put the brakes on some buyer's 3G iPhone dreams this week -- a real, live shot of the forthcoming BlackBerry touchscreen phone, the Thunder. There's not much info to glean from this image, save for the fact that it will be practically loaded with buttons (including send, end, back, menu, dual convenience keys, volume, lock, and play / pause) and will be headed to Verizon. If the UI is a spin-off of the one we've seen on the Bold, RIM could be striking gold here.

I thought the whole point of people buying a blackberry is because they don't want to deal with a touchscreen? If apple gets it right in the new 3.0 firmware in terms of better set up for business users then why would anybody want to buy a blackberry.
Ok.. so its amazing, I currently have a BB Pearl here in Canada on Telus, and I'm definitely going to upgrade to this puppy. My only concern is the keyboard, I'm in love with my Pearl's keyboard, although from all the shots and specs i've seen, its unlikely.. PLEASE RIM, include a full QWERTY for me.. that would no doubt be the most amazing phone ever.
Great now put it on the market or F-off I have been waiting for verizon to put a descent NEW phone out for 7 months. I already hate the battery life on their phones and that its CDMA, but the next person who puts a decent phone out gets my 2 year contract.
According to the earlier posted pic on this thing, I would assume it is a slider. However "fake" the previous picture may have been, its looks pretty damn close to this and I definitely saw a second layer in all that blurry goodness.
Actually, after I looked at that earlier photo again, I think this thing may be more like the motorola ming.
I also just purchased a curve yesterday... tht is the suxor....
