just got £200 ($400) for mine, moments after the announcement. good bit of business i think, get to keep my dock and headphones aswel. Currently going through thee process of restoring phone to factory settings for its new owner.
apple is queer and everyone is blowing a load over it. its just new hardware killing the old in the typical cycle. soon 3G will be a piece of shit too.
I say wait a while. Current models can be unlocked - and if the rumours are true, as seems likely, the 3G iPhone will be activated in-store, which means unlocking will cost you hundreds of dollars/pounds/whatever. FWIW, O2's early cancellation policy involves paying off the entire contract; unlocking that baby isn't financially viable for anyone who's not in the 40% income tax band.
So you still own an *unlockable* phone, capable of all the software features of the new one, and missing only GPS and faster data... There's a chance prices might hold up, after the initial glut of them on eBay. Just a thought.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
