I'm guessing the car settings would be preset to a safety level where the device can be set to whatever you want. Sounds like an awesome use of what the device can do with it's continuous monitoring & wireless abilities.

Why not just put the beeping to the device itself.
I would find it better, so that I wouldn't have to be in a car to know that my blood glucose is low.
