That 22 inch monitor, in the picture, looks closer to a 36-42 inch screen. Or that guy is just a midget.

if that's a 22" screen then that guy is 4' tall. unless they're measuring vertically there's no way that is a 22" monitor. i know companies don't always use the actual products in ads, but come on. that thing is at least 30"

so the monitor is thin - big deal. the stand is huge and ugly and takes up like 8 inches of table. that means the screen being thin isnt worth shit.

1650x1050 is standard for a 22" LCD.
Also as far as 22" monitors go, ASUS ( and ACER too ) have produced some of the best technically sound LCD's out there. The score consistently high on LCD benchmarks, are good value for money, and have high customer satisfaction
It's very likely this will be a good monitor.

and yes, todd is very right. Lcds this size should have at least double that resolution. Heck, my 15" laptop has 1680x1050
you can't put something like this on your lap can you? so unless you want to sit 50cm away from your desktop monitor, forget it.
