ChauhanStudio's Jetsons-esque HAL LCD TV gets real
Alright, so we're not really any closer to determining whether or not ChauhanStudio's HAL LCD TV is headed for commercial production, but we do know this: at least one of these bad boys are real. Yep, the mockup we saw a few months back has somehow made it into reality, though we can't say for sure that there is anything more than rarefied air packed within the glossy white enclosure. Regrettably, specifications are still unknown, but you can peek a shot of the back in the read link below should you be so inclined.

I'm not interested in gaming on it, but, how does it handle porn?
Silivrenion @ Jun 13th 2008 1:24PM
That is probably the coolest thing I've seen today.
Reminds me of the old tube TV's and how they were curved around the sides. We've shifted from curved TV/monitors, to the current Gateway/Dell/Samsung square LCD's, and now to slimmed down versions of what looks like the offspring of a Mac and an old tube TV.
Wonder if that white square on the desk will be a touch-responsive keyboard device? Or maybe use a built-in laser keyboard?

I cannot imagine a more pleasant LCD to have teleconferencing on. They would be wise to include a camera option on top in line with the power dot.

Where are the antennae?

An uglier TV has never been made! And I doubt ever will be.

Wow, this site been spending too much time waiting for the iPhone. Everything they have posted here already been posted on gizmodo a day ago.

Helping or hurting, James Cameron? (if that is your real name) Helping or hurting?

Shouldn't you be searching for a sunken ship somewhere?

"Open the DVD-bay doors please, Hal."
"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."

That is definitely a "Friday 13th" Jason figure lurking in the background ... on such a lucky day and all ;-)
The device is quite cool though and I look forward to seeing more of it.
Hal @ Jun 13th 2008 6:04PM
