X2Wii hack sends NES, SNES and N64 button mashing to your Wii's GameCube port
Not willing to lay out the cash required to sneak the official Super Famicom Wii controller into the States? Don't feel like going through the insanity of making your own wireless NES and SNES controllers for the Wii? Raphaël's epic X2Wii project might just be your ticket to Virtual Console bliss. He's worked up an adapters for the NES, SNES and N64 controllers to plug straight into your Wii's GameCube port, and while they certainly aren't simple, it's all DIY magic.

Or you could just buy one of these:

But what's the fun in that?
I don't see the point really as the classic controller works perfectly fine even with N64 games .
I don't really see why people complain about the classic controller or there preferance in the Gamecube controller as opposed the the Classic Controller .
Tha Classic controller works perfectly fine to me .
The Gamecube controller is more comfortable to hold. In addition, people already have Gamecube controllers.
Hmm, I disagree. Any game that requires a lot of C Button usage sucks with the Classic Controller (See: Star Fox, Zelda, etc.).
I'll be looking forward to this adapter, or at least a guide as to how to make my own.
The N64 controller is so awesome with those three handles. Octopus be playin' that thing!
IMO the N64 controller is the best designed and laid-out controller of any console ever... but perhaps that's just because I've held it for so long that my hands have moulded themselves around it.
And yes, before someone beats me to it, that IS what she said.
I seriously love the GameCube controller... but the layout seriously sucks for SMW...
I too have noticed the gamecube layout sucks for SNES games. It turns out it's pretty simple to rewire the gamecube buttons.

The n64 controller is awesome. The only reason people didn't like it is because the couldn't handle the asymmetrical, but perfectly ergonomic design.
Philistines.
For as freakin' ugly as that is, how about buying a classic controller for the Wii, then using its guts to connect authentic NES or SNES controllers wirelessly? Makes more sense than that abomination of twisted-together wiring.

I see what you did there...
Made a huge mess of it.
Thus we return to Z-Button shooting for Goldeneye.
You really mostly only needed the control pad on the N64 controller for things like Pokemon Stadium and the less action-based games, if I recall correctly.
Holy moly, why would you do that?(for golden eye, maybe)
