Aztech's WL850MS wireless HD media streamer gets detailed
Believe it or not, Aztech's WL850MS was actually first mentioned way back at CES 2008, but it's just now finding the limelight at CommunicAsia. The well-spec'd unit supports 1080p media streaming over Ethernet or 802.11n WiFi, and you'll likely be thrilled to know that it boasts MIMO antennas for extended coverage and 2.4GHz / 5GHz dual-band capability. You'll also find four 10/100 Ethernet ports for multiple video recipients and a pretty swank enclosure, if we may say so ourselves. Word from Singapore has the unit retailing for around $263, but there's no telling how long we'll have to wait before seeing it on US soil.

Depending on the dimensions, it would be extremely cool if they could fit a subwoofer in the bottom of it.

Who wants a subwoofer mounted on the bottom of their refrigerator?
... wait, what?

Resistance is equal to voltage divided by current.

Now this would be cool if it'd take component or HDMI (or hell, even S-video at worst) from your cable box and beam it around your house, so you could (for example) watch on your laptop in the kitchen while cooking dinner or in the garage while... doing whatever you're doing in the garage.

"Aztech's WL850MS wireless HD media streamer"
wow heys guys i think the title explains what the f the thing does..
Aztech's - Manufacturer
WL850MS - Product
wireless - adjective describing the device (that means it can do some things without wires that other devices may require wires to do)
HD - adjective describing the word immediately after it (HD means high definition)
media - porn
streamer - Describes the devices function in one word - its kinda like a swimmer is one who swims.. well a streamer is something that streams.. and im going to make a leap and assume the stuff it streams is the "HD media" ie good porn

I don't know what this box does but the design is an exact copy of a box presented by philips set top boxes 2 years ago. That's a shame for the Aztech designers (if there is...).
reader @ Jun 24th 2008 10:47PM
looks original to me.. which philips product exactly has this design?
