I almost got the M6, but $300 is a bitter pill to swallow when I was able to get a 320GB Western Digital My Passport for $135 and just pull the 2.5" 320GB WD drive out of it to put it in my MacBook, and then I put my old 250GB WD drive into the enclosure.
For less than half of the price of the M6, I got a sweet, compact USB-powered enclosure and a 320GB drive, totaling my drive space at 570GB.
320GB on-board is certainly enough until Samsung drops the price of the M6, or until some other company gets a 2.5" half-terabyte drive on the market at a reasonable price.
Side note: The drive I pulled out of the My Passport sells for $179 by itself in Best Buy, but the My Passport sold for $135 (or close to it). More stuff for a lower price! Yay!
My advice is to wait until the 500GB drives are cheaper.
