Motorola patent application reveals cellphone / HMD combo craziness

It looks like Motorola isn't about to let Apple have the goofy, non-existent product spotlight to itself, with a recent patent application of its revealing some plans of its own for a head-mounted display. As you can see above, however, this one is no ordinary HMD, with it also able to be folded up into an apparently over-sized cellphone for times when you want to look slightly less conspicuous. Of course, the chances of such a product actually making it off the drawing board are pretty slim (thankfully), and no doubt even less likely given the recent cuts to Motorola's research division.

I don't think general public is mature enough to appreciate this invention
Is that George Washington in the picture?? He must have gotten a haircut and updated clothes...
A couple things that no one has pointed out yet....
#1. It appears to me that patent #205 is a square button....let me say that again...a SQUARE [ ] button. No further comment.
#2. Patent number Six-Fifty-Something is a phone cord? Um, hello, bluetooth? No, you guys don't know of bluetooth yet? Well, allow me to explain it to you Motorola, you see....well, it's low band radio freque....you know what, just Google it for F's sake. I have to wonder if Motorola was digging through the archives of 1974, found this drawing, and somehow thought it a brilliant idea to start patent applications...
#3. Patent number Six-Sixty-Something is an obtrusive, rectangular box that, what, clips onto your shirt? Moto, are you seriously trying to convince us that you couldn't fit all the required hardware into that face-devouring shoebox, and you actually had to design an extra, thin, yet larger-than-a-name-tag sized box to clip onto our shirts for this mutant device to function properly? Seriously? No, I mean, seriously, you aren't just goofing us around?
#4. Moto, a word from the wise: you'd have better luck and generate more revenue if you patented this drawing, because seriously, this shit is just too funny!
Gary Larson anyone?
now couple this with that USB neck-tie, and youre set
There might be some country where this would sell, there's some wacky places out there, peru maybe? Or malaysia? Or maybe some african country, sometimes they have surprising fads and interests and some things work because they look different on black people anyway.
Where we're going, we dont need practicality....
