EasyChair WorkStation solves that whole "get out of bed" dilemma
It's time to take a long, hard look at where we're headed as a society. No, really -- we've got office chairs coming to kill comradeship, specially designed lapboards made to keep you sedentary for as long as humanly possible, and now we're looking at the perfect device for keeping Earthlings in bed for days on end. The EasyChair WorkStation line of products essentially puts your laptop on wheels, and the adjustable boom arm ensures that you can reach the keys / trackpad regardless of which side you wake up on. We're hearing a bedpan attachment is in the works as well, but we're feeling entirely too lazy to actually check.

They should have used hot Korean models instead of a guy who looks like he actually uses it.
Apple patented the concept of the douche. 'Nuff said.
$300 would cheap for an aide for the disabled or bed-ridden. Imagine what this setup will cost from a medical supply place? Probably $750-$1000.
NOOOOOOOO, He totally STOLE my idea! I was gonna hook up a crappy LCD to the side of a poll next to my toilet.. I AM ANGRY!
Chase Lounge + Laptop = Comfort Castle
I have been using one of these for a couple of years. It lets me have my PC in my living room with my nice big Lazy Boy chair and I can still work, play, watch TV and have conversations with my wife in the same room. Its a great item. I have a 20in monitor on mine and no problems at all.
too bad they forgot the microwave/cupholder/toilet parts...
Dude... I have GOT to get me one of these.
I think the Laptop beat the buy 20 years....
i made something like this for myself with a generic VESA mount, some brackets from home depot and a drum stand (and parts) from a music store. easy chairs are lots more comfty than office chairs especially when you are programming for half of your day (or more). say lazy all you want, i didn't want to be one of those nerds that kept an H pillow at his desk!
This is news? I already do this!
I have a screen bolted to a table next to my recliner. I have a desktop installed INSIDE the table next to my recliner. I also have a laptop that I use as well... So I have 2 comuters in the space of that guy up top.
So I am less than impressed.
Wow, I would have loved to have something like this when I had my knee surgery last year, or my abdominal surgery last week. Both were situations where getting out of bed was a major task, usually requiring a hefty dose of pain medication and substantial rest afterwords - but I still have work to do, and need my computer to do it. This is a great idea & execution for people with short or long term mobility issues.
Maybe some people just have a really uncomfortable computer chair, or don't want the laptop to burn their legs.
the guy in the demonstration photo is fat. what a surprise.
Will it fall down? that is the question!
This station would be excellent for people with back injuries. I ruptured the lower disc in my back and had to try to work from home lying down for a couple of years. Would have LOVED this. As several people have said, whether you sit or lie down you're still not moving. A word to the wise, if you spend all day in front of a computer consider breaking it up with something like this and save your back! Ignore all the morons who think sitting is somehow like going to the gym versus being prone.
I love all these fatter American comments, especially the ones from people in Europe (or pretty much anywhere) which are also getting progressively fatter (a few steps behind but on the same path) as McDonald's and Coke Cola wins the bid for world domination. Enjoy it now, cuz your kids are gonna be just as bad! Scratch that, you will be too just wait a decade. But maybe by then "lazy" American scientists will have found a metabolism drug. Better hope they share it along with the Big Macs! :P
