@David Buy iphone every time a new version comes out...wow, thats fan boy crazy! I expect my gadget, like phone, to last a minimum of at least 3 years. Got me thinking...all those millions of ipod sold are probably skewed numbers considering there are fanboys like David, who probably owns every released version of ipods out there...ipods number doesn't seem that impressive. Apple can sell different type of shit and you guys would probably line up to get one. Next year, Apple shit comes with corn..."ooohhh, I gotta get one with corn!"
XP has turned out to be pretty good, but I still wish that Windows 2000 was viable for modern gaming. It was the first Windows OS that I really, truly liked. Steady as a rock and only took up 70 MB of RAM after a fresh install. More importantly, it ran any program that I threw at it, including every Windows game that was out at the time.
Now we have XP that takes up about 270 MB after a fresh install and Vista that takes up close to 650 MB. What a f**king disgrace.
Well, I'd have to say : XBOX and ipod touch are my favorite. Once you "fix" the XBOX a little bit. you could do more fun stuff than its original package. As to ipod touch, well, it's cool and easy to carry around, go online... you just don't want to carry a mini laptop , still that is too heavy for me.
Hmmm, fav MS product? I think I would have to go with the Media Center portion of MCE or Vista Ultimate. I have a firewire DVD player that holds some 200 DVD's; it's nice the way the system automatically catalogs all the DVD's and pulls down the useful info to a local DB to help in deciding which movie to watch when you're ready.
I like Vista Ultimate running as a media center PC. Now that the price of hardware has dropped, a decent media machine can be scrapped together for less than $500, that also doubles as a gaming machine. MCE in general is better than TiVO, plus there is no monthly subscription fee, and hardware can be upgraded as needed. With my Vista Ultimate machine, I have Internet Access, gaming, my media center, Office, and anything else I can plug into a PCI slot, Sata port or USB port - unlimited potential. Plus I can use my xBox to access my shows.I hear a lot of people complain about Vista, for the most part, I understand what they say, but it works for me - I haven't had to reboot any of my media centers in several months (at least since I loaded SP1 on it).
I haven't really used Vista long enough to actually find any real major problems with it, is was the little things that took me back to XP. Not that it mattered a whole lot, because I usually just use Ubuntu - but I wouldn't mind having a copy of Vista Ultimate lying around... :-)
I actually LIKE windows vista--it's a really nice upgrade in terms of usability and friendliness. I love the networking improvements! (and I'm "only" using vista basic! haha it came with my computer...)
The Chromebooks are here, starting with Samsung's Series 5, a cute little number that promises instant-on access, 3G connectivity, and long enough battery life to web surf with the best of 'em.

Yaay Windows!
I dont think anyone is going to want Vista as a prize. I'd call that more of a punishment.

Nothing is better than Microsoft as an Operating System!...I used Win 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, and now its Vista....I guess Win OS FTW.
