FineDigital gets official with speech-recognizing Bio GPS

FineDigital was showing off one iteration of a speech-recognizing GPS unit only last month, but it looks like it's already turned out a more refined version, complete with a spiffy new name. Now dubbed the FineDrive Bio, this one packs the usual 7-inch touchscreen, along with DMB mobile TV support, dual SD card slots for some added storage, and FineDigital's FineSR speech-recognition technology, which will supposedly recognize up to 450,000 words. Look for this one to hit Korea on July 7th in both 2GB and 4GB versions for 499,000 won and 549,000 won, respectively (or about $475 and $520).

I know it only looks big because of the positionof it relitive to the camera but Damn. That thing looks huge
Is it too big, or is it just me?
That thing is HUGE.
Doesn't help to hold it up to a camera to make it look extra large does it.
So i'm supposed to watch bad karaoke (isn't it all bad) and navigate at the same time?
That cameraman needs to learn how to focus on the important subject in a photograph.
y is the girl blurred? Maybe companies finally started realizing that the girls actually take the viewers' eyes off the product.
She is blurred because she's wearing clothes.
That's a girl?
Why on earth would a company want to put TV into a GPS.
I would think they want their clients to come back alive for the next version !
But, can it tell time?
Don't most cars have this feature already?
Take me to Funky Town you oversized GPS!!!
Looks like my nuvi 5000....

I think the screen size is perfect for watching t.v and using the gps... asia is light years ahead of "the most powerful country in the world"...ZzzZzZzZzZzZZzzZz makes me sad.
Speech recognition? This ought to be fun. "Set a course for Main Street." "Now en route to Tokyo." "Wha?"
So while you are driving, you get distracted by both the GPS map and also a TV show. Cool. No reason to look at the road at all.
I don't think this is Korea's first navigation system with speech recognition. I remember a taxi driver tried to show off the speech recognition in his navigation system a couple months back, though he failed badly. I hope this thing actually works.
Also, Korea's had navigation with TV for years now. A lot of people I know have enough sense not to use it, seeing as Korea's got some of the craziest drivers I've ever seen. (A main reason I prefer public transportation here. That and gas here is $8/gallon.)
