Nyko's Media Hub for PS3 inelegantly adds USB ports, multicard reader

Nyko's got a knack for delivering some of the ugliest, most preposterous third-party peripherals on the planet, yet -- for whatever reason -- we can't help but love 'em. The latest abomination from the outfit that begins to grow on you almost immediately is the Media Hub for PlayStation 3. For those that went cheap on the 40GB PS3 and missed out on a multicard reader and the full array of USB ports, this here adornment presumably connects to one of those USB sockets and adds three more while tossing in the card reader you've so dearly missed. Thankfully, Nyko's only charging $19.99 for this, so you should be okay even if your ship has yet to come in.

Looks nice how they make it fit in that area.
I have the 80gb MGS4 Bundle, so I have card readers and 4 usb ports standard.

BTW Sony Pull the 2.40 firmware because it screwed up people's PS3! ahahahahahhahahhahahaahhahaha

Coming from a previous owner of an XBOX 360 and a 60GB PS3 from November 17, 2006, a firmware screwing up a PS3 is much, much better than the RRoD.

It's a great design the way it fits snug with the system, if they had just shelled out a little extra for shiny black plastic so it didn't stand out so much then maybe it'd be worth the twenty bucks.

If I needed one, I would get one. It would be cool if it covered both original ports, but offered 4-6 new ones and was shallower to the console. Not a bad idea for whoever needs it.

I wouldn't put that anywhere near my PS3, it's damn ugly. I'm not too bothered about my 40GB PS3 not having a card reader and all that jazz. My HP printer has a multi-card reader built in, as do many people's PCs.

I am not too fond of this hub. I am glad that I got the 80gb PS3 so I don't have to worry about solving either of problems that this solves.
