I think if it bricked it it would happen during the update, not just using it after the update.
It actually scared me a bit. Right after it finished downloading, before installing it, the screen went black and the controllers turned off. I couldn't shut down the system by touching the power "button". Fortunately I flipped the power cut-off switch off and on in back and that worked. Then it booted up and installed the firmware. Played around with it a bit and saw no problems though.
I wonder if that's all that happened with these reports? Some users are pretty stupid when it comes to technology and may not even know there's a power switch in back.

I have been running it all day and it seems to be doing fine :) Ive stressed it pretty hard as well playing music in game and such...

What game(s) were you playing with the in-game music? I haven't been able to get music in quite a few games I tried to play last night.

They pulled it before i could download it, who wants to mirror it?? I'm feeling lucky, and just backed up my system. :)
