The Motorola RAZR 2 V9x for AT&T brings GPS, non-hideous color
Shoot, all Motorola had to do was change from pink mahogany to this nice, normal, compliant shade of black, and that would've been enough of an update to justify a model name change. There's more, though: the V9x will officially offer AT&T Navigator, the Telenav-powered navigation system already found on the Z9, and we can see from these press shots that it'll even work on the secondary display, which is pretty trick. This appears to be the same update that we'd originally heard would drop way back in January, which means we can likely expect Video Share support as well. Take a stroll on over to Engadget Mobile for the full gallery.

Didn't Moto become one of the most failed companies in the world.
You stole my name!
Cubs will lose some more, go sox.
I wasn't aware they were still in business...
Dude we can all see it's the same account just by the number when we scroll over your name. Do you need medical attention?
eh, someone could have got hold of my pass somehow. ever think of that
I swear I didn't put the second comment up.
Did you put the third?
Damn dude. Maybe it's time to lay off the crack pipe.
If only they had 3G working on the linux OS, and i don't recall google mobile maps (java) working with GPS sadly :(
What the fock is going on!?
How is AT&T Navigator compared to the craptacular horrible experience that is VZ Navigator? I can't imagine it being much worse.
Not as craptastic... I would say only about 91% as craptastic as VZ Navigator.
Well, that's nice. Does it repeated connection errors at all the most inopportune moments, like VZ?
I use the VZ navigator all the time, I wouldn't use it if I had to pay a monthly fee, though. It isn't perfect by any means, but for a free GPS (mine only uses air time), it does what I expect it to: get me to point B.
First of all, the vast majority of GPS's are "free", other than the cost of hardware. Second of all, how in the hell are you not paying a fee for VZ navigator??! I would have a much better opinion of the service if I wasn't paying a ridiculous monthly fee.
I have no problems with VZ Nav. It's a handy tool to have in your pocket and given the limitations of your average cell phone display it provides a fairly easy to read chunk of travel data and doubles as a Yellow Pages as well. It even works in my abysmal home cell area which can't even get EVDO and only just gets a digital signal.
I don't pay an individual fee either. All data services are rolled into the Premium plan.
Details, details man! What Premium plan?
I assume you don't have a Pearl. VZ Navigator is absolutely horrible on the Pearl.
I think this is a much nicer color than that hideous pinkish-mahogany color that att has offered...
I definitely saw that horse move. Hit it again!!!
I think a problem even larger than the fact that it was burgundy is the fact they want $299 for it....
They had a distinctive design, and have just kept on normalizing it until it becomes nothing.
I always thought the original RAZR looked silly. Borderline ugly, even. This, if you ask me, is much better-looking. But I'd still never spring for it.
