kudos to you guys for another Engadget language version.
well due to the fact that i am running some german sites and blogs i can only tell you, not every german wants to read news in english!
we are still talking about the most spoken language in europe guys and engadget is doing a good job to support it!
just make sure that your german editors are keeping the site updated!
and for all the critics, just look at the german version of The Inquirer. It's doing really well.
Anyways, your german site is in my newsreader and i will make sure to support it with some backlinks (like you guys did with my blogs so many times before)
Cheers

The post for the HP PhotoSmart on the Korean site says:
"These clowns at Engadget have no idea what we're writing. All we have to do is insert the product name a few times in English and copy in gibberish, and we get paid. Don't tell them! Let's see how long we can keep this scam going."
:)
후후!!!

Can't wait for Engadget China! complete with censored comments, news and editorials, biased and everything.......oh...... wait..
Why cant we get higher resolution pictures like our Korean brohams?
btw...you should have chosen a magenta background for the de.engadget site, just to piss off a well known German telecom company :D
I'm disappointed, but only because I was expecting Engadget Korea to have a Starcraft theme. GG Engadget.
I can't wait for Engadget Alabama,

Congratulations, guys and I hope it works out very well. Why should the wonder of Engadget be limited to those of us in English speaking countries?

Engadget UK!!!!!!!! comon!!! you know we want it!!!
와! 드디어 한국어판!! 축하해용!
Being a Korean myself, It's good to see Engadget launching a Korean site.
However, after viewing it, I have to make this comment.
I don't know who you hired to translate you're articles, but there is no style in the writings whatsoever. They just look like dry translations of facts, and the sentences aren't even smooth. This might easily bore your Korean readers.
For facts AND amusement, I think I'll stick with the original Engadget.
Still, I hope the Korean site will improve over time, and I'm looking forward to it.
How do you correct a comment?-_-;
Correction: "translate you're" → "translate or write your"
By the way, I didn't mean to offend the people who put so much work into the Korean site. I know how difficult it is to maintain such a site. I'm just an average Korean reader who's longing for a quality site written in Korean :)
Keep up the good work!
The people have a point. In an idea world Engadget would be available in every language and it wouldn't cost you a penny. However, the fact is, it cost you time and resource to make those, and they are probably not updated as quickly anyway (although I don't actually know since I haven't visited them). Between that and the fact that a lot of people, especially those that read gadget-related blogs, in places like Germany, understand English, it seems like somewhat of a waste (no disrespect intended for the German people).
Seems to me like between English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and Arab, you'll cover a very large portion of the world's population. Although, one could argue for the need of an Arab translation of a gadget blog.
In any case, I think you got the Asian market mostly covered now with Chinese (probably the 2 kinds, right), Japanese (I think) and Korean. So, if you were to add Russian that would pretty much give you most of Europe and actually parts of Asia too (USSR was big ;-) ). I would vote for Hebrew as well, but I'm biased (plus most gadget savvy Israelis know English very well).
das is gut, ja?
Hund sheisse ist nicht so gut.
Hallo, Ich heisse Ben, und du?
I think, thats the only German I know, luckily for me I am taking it for a GCSE next year, bahh.
Though I am glad that you are creating the Deutsch version as I can go on it in German class!
And Engadget France... it's for soon ? :p
A french lector of engadget
Good luck for these blogs!
I think that a portuguese Engadget can make a huge success...
:D
What's the point of making sites in other languages when they're not as funny as the original?
Please ask your foreign writers to send in their X-rays.
Those without the funny bone should be fired without notice.
