According to the reader who sent this our way, this candy dispenser looks "exactly" like a Wiimote, except it fires candy out of the spot where the IR transmitter should be. Apparently the instructions suggest that you "Do not aim at face," so... it's kind of like the real thing.
I don't see this qualifying as a "Keeping It Real Fake" segment as it seems to be a licensed Nintendo product as noted by the Official Seal of Quality.
They actually sold something very similar to these during the N64 days. They had a Mario, Young Link, and Donkey Kong styled after the N64 models under the same name: Klik. I've got all three, and as soon as I find the Wii-mote, will add that to the collection.
I had one of these a few weeks ago, my little brother bought it from blockbuster or something like that... Half of the candy is like sweet tarts, and the other half looks the same, but it's actually really gross gum. The shooter doesn't shoot very far either.
I saw them at Mac's here in Canada-land if you're looking for one northwards. My friend was kind enough to point them out, and the fact that they do, in fact, appear to be officially licensed.
It is highly, HIGHLY doubtful that you'd find a Nintendo seal of quality branded item like this in so many stores across the US without it being real. If it weren't, it'd be pulled pretty quick.
Anyone able to read the manufacture name and see where they're from?

Keepin' it real AWESOME! I want one!
this came to me when i was reading this
"I take you to the Candy Shop" (50 cent)
It looks so real....
Also, those candy that came with it.... I love those!
@ Ayman
I feel so sorry for your ears at this moment in time
not so much fake, but very real, ive seen these things around
They should get rid of those! I thought it was a real Wiimote that came with free candy :(
They sell them at Fry's Electronics
those wacky sons a bitches
I soooo see this being an eBay scam in the making
Ha I saw them selling these things at Blockbuster!
I saw it at superstore (loblaws)
This.is.AWESOME!!!
My sister bought me one of those. The candy is not that bad, but the dispenser poorly made, the candy gets stuck all the time.

That's what I was thinking.
And ironically we have the same name :o

It shoots out the RECEIVER. The sensor bar is the tranemitter.

I saw one in a Walgreen and almost bought it.
Funny you should mention this, I bought one of these last Sunday on break at work, they have them at Walgreens.

WOW! same answer at the same time! :-)
Choking hazard: Small parts not for children under 5 years
Guess which part is the choking hazard.
ah! no candy for you kids!
It even comes with fake Smarties! I don't think I'd eat those though.
They look more like rockets
Here I was getting all excited that PEZ was making a comeback.
"exactly", except they are about half the size....
I just got one of those, actually.
The fake Smarties have a PEZ candy texture, and actually taste BETTER. The Smarties gum that comes with it as well...not so much.
It doesn't shoot very far, though.
Better than pez?
You, sir, are a liar.
that is hilarious, i need to get me one of those
HEY! I saw this at Bed Bath & Beyond!
Yeah, they have this one stocked and prominently on display at my walgreens as well.
I saw them at Mac's here in Canada-land if you're looking for one northwards. My friend was kind enough to point them out, and the fact that they do, in fact, appear to be officially licensed.
My girl has one of those. She pointed out the power button is on the wrong side.
I think your girl is wrong.
now if only they had a gatorade-shooting nunchuck...
Well, PEZ had one of those. Lemme see if I still have it. Either I or the pawn shop has (had) it. >.
Hah! Found it.... Aw man... its the same thing. But, at least its got PEZ in it!! Lol.
I just saw one of these the other day at my Walgreens in NJ.
Those have been around forever where I live.
