Microvision 360 hack slaps an Xbox on the back of an old TV for no good reason
A familiar face on these pages, primarily for his PSP work, PvP_LostKnight seems to have decided his Xbox 360 was lonely and cold, so he stripped off the case and strapped the thing to the back of his old HD LCD. PvP has never been heavy on the instructions, but he's got a few shots of the "Microvision 360" setup, plus a video of all the excitement (embedded after the break). We can only hope that insane fan noise is from some sort of warehouse cooling fans in the background, and isn't coming from this little heat sandwich he concocted.

that's what she said!
[predicting double post]
I must have already been asleep when she said that.
No it's not.
In case anyone is wondering, they're all talking about sexual intercourse.
Ha Ha Ha, I get it now !
What's sexual intercourse?
@BuddhaBoy
Ask your hand....
hand = fake vagina
roflcopter
The dude just couldn't wait for Lian Li to give him the proper outlet for his 360 modding needs...
A lamp would have been useful...
All the kids' toys behind him give away the fact that sometimes raising children you must sacrifice luxuries like light.
for what?
I love Lamp.
...i dont even know you.
He was quoting Anchorman there.
A lamp would have been useful so we could have actually seen the mod, the video was a little dark.
i like sarcasm.
especially when people dont understand it.
It's mood lighting. He was just setting us up for that first post... +2 for style
This mod seems.....useless...
I don't think the mod was about the Xbox 360.
He successfully modded his flatscreen into a CRT sized flat screen...
How come at least he didn't try it on a Projection HDTVS those things are huge lol my dad bought 1 in 2005 at least it was a Sony lol
"how come" you had to tell us that story "LOL"
where does the red ring go?
See the above post referring to sexual intercourse.
Only 1 game played on that account? Really is he just doing it for kicks?
Or maybe its just a new Xbox and he just threw in a new account on setup?
Should have gone old school and used a CRT, then we can burn the carpet and our eyeballs at the same time.
If he's got kids this is a GREAT way to get the 360 and all of its cords off the floor so toddlers and little ones don't trip, or, god forbid, knock over the machine.
Yea, let's hope they're not in to chewing capacitors or sticking things in exposed fans
Ah, my bad, didn't watch the video (buffering forever), just saw the article pic.
Still, let my above comment be a health and safety warning to all geeks with kids regardless.
Does he have an airplane in the room?
Nevermind... the Xbox was on.
the xbox was on AFTER he started it with the pad...not before, I'd say he has air con in there or something? :|
Are they really that loud? I've only seen a 360 once but it was turned off and smelled like burning plastic. Maybe he needs the A/C to stop the bad smell and magic smoke from coming out.
Wow! A snazzy rug and a picnic table inside a singe wide...
WHY OH WHY?
I can throw some lettuce, carrots and salad dressing in my ass and call it a salad. But I doubt anyone would want to eat it.
"You RROD'ed, Johnny. Guess what you have to do?"
"NOT THE TOSSED SALAD MAN!"
i think he voided his warranty.
Yeah, I ususally show off my mods inside of a plane too.
Man had a plan, can you blame him for going out on a limb?
What the hell is all that noise. It sounds like an airport runway. I have 2 360s and they're not that loud at all. Interesting concoction though.
But how does it display the red rings of death?
Would that be a tossed salad?
This was meant for BustaCap's post:

I'd certainly echo what other have said about being able to setup a routine. I HATE having go back to the menu and pick my next exersise.
And in the mini games section... you have to press teh 'A' button 4X to just try that game again. Very frustrating expecially when you're playing a game that you don't need a wii-mote for and you want to try over and over again (like ski jump). It would have been great if they parked an 'A' button on the backside (maybe right of the power?) so you could just kick it...
Also be really cool when other games start using the balance board. Anybody else think Monkey Ball would be really fun with the board?? :)
i just figured out *why* this is happening. my sso app is messing with me. sorry guys!!
What the hell are you talking about? Have you even read the post at ALL? Or is it just the comment system that's fucked up again?
OH sorry! Your own replied wasnt displayed for some reason!
this..... doesn't go here.
That thing...will explode...
Why did he make sure to show the controller while pushing the button, only to not have the guide button light up? And why did the startup screen start display about a second or two later than it should have? I don't doubt that he built this based on all the pics he posted but those two things seem a little odd.
trailerpark AC power is unpredictable... trust me.
I can't believe that the Apple fanboys (or haters... take your pick) failed to call this a precursor to the new iXbox.
"To clear things up, in the video the loud suction sound is from my ventilation system in my work area. The 360 produces minimal sound and the video doesn't represent the true sound of it."
