Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
I have installed the 2.0 software on my original iPhone. Everything is fine.
I installed probably 30 applications ( most of them are free). I spent plenty of time running all these apps.
Had the hard crash once of twice.. I believe there is a memory leak or something of that sort.. After launching, 20+ apps, then apps refuse to launch.. i had to reboot the phone..
Now my next problem is... Syncing.. iPhone backup takes for ever and so far has not even completed once with 2.0 software...
Yes, I have similar problem. Every time I sync, iTunes does a FULL backup (taking 15-20 mins)
I think it's funny you say "everything is fine" and then go thru a litany of failures, one or two hard crashes, apps won't open, and you can't sync.
i'd love to see how you'd describe a really bad experience!
Same experience here. Well, when I first tried to run Super Monkey Ball it kept crashing, but all I had to do was power cycle the phone (first time since the apps had been installed and my data resync'd) and everything is peachy.
The UI seems a hair slower, as is text entry. Nowhere near as bad as most smartphones, but where the original SW almost NEVER had slowdowns, it's more frequent with this SW.
Love the exchange sync for my calendar.
Everything is pretty peachy and works as (not) advertised, but it is sucking my battery life like there's no tomorrow. I'm guessing that's the exchange push at play -- and I have spotty reception at my desk at work, and not even our wifi works very well there. So likely the phone spent all day trying to reauthenticate to my wifi, and try to get an edge signal, and try to get email.
We'll see how it is after a full charge overnight; I'll be on the road tomorrow so I'll likely have better coverage than sitting in the dark corner in my office.
