The BlackBerry Bold hits the FCC, gets one step closer to your pocket
Research In Motion's forthcoming BlackBerry Bold just got a little bit closer to reality. The device -- which is said to be making its appearance on shelves around August -- has shown up in the FCC's files, getting the sensuous, loving treatment only the Federal Communications Commission can provide. Want to get deep inside the Bold's situation? Hit the read link and begin your magical journey into SAR validation reports.

Couldn't you just go to rim's site to see it?

that is beside the point... john mayer has had one for the past month or so.. everyone has seen it.. the point they are making is that it's one step closer to being officially released and potentially bought by you, me...
even though this week is the unofficial iphone extravaganza.. ;)

Ironically, http://www.rim.jobs/ directs to Research in Motion's website.
So if John Mayer's had his & it *hadn't* passed the FCC's test I wonder what would have happened.
Let's say he's given a free phone as a famous celebrity (you know, hard to afford to buy things when you're rich) but he developed a brain tumor as the phone put out N Korean nuclear test-sized amounts of radiation- could he sue them?

Everyone is up for some Rim Jobs
I may or may not end up holding this device with my greasy, slimy hands one day.
I currently have the pearl, but I'm not sold on the trackball yet. Those who have had the trackball vs. primarily touchscreen...which do you prefer?
I have a Tilt and my girlfriend has a Curve.
I prefer the Curve. The touch screen is nice at times, but I don't think it was meant for anyone with non-stick fingers. There are programs that help rectify this on WM phones (SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 is a damn good app), but there are still times when you have to hit close a time or ten to get an app to actually close.
Strange, I have a Tilt and my girlfriend has a Curve also.
Anyways, use the 'OK' button to close apps instead of trying to hit the 4x4 pixel button with your fingernail.
I'm going to sell my iphone and buy this, it will be far more productive , faster stereo blue tooth, MMS, all those things i miss
Indeed. The iPhone may be flashy, but it's for productivity, BB is still where it's at. ...not to mention security!
I call it "Celebration." It's sexual...and violent.
How many megapixels is the camera going to be?
count me in for one Bold! when the iPhone can compete on productivity i'll get one. i think i'll ditch my 8310 for the 9000 for sure as long as i don't have to stand in any freakin lines like the iPhone people. those poor... uhh... iPhoners. i guess i hope this Bold doesn't become too hot of an item then.
hopefully the interface is as sweet as it looks.
hopefully the thunder is gonna be done soon
Uh,oh
Looks like cassette tapes have taken a page out of Alien's book and impregnated the Blackberry Bold to regain their rightful place at the top.
Be sure to avoid any screen bursts when this thing hits the market!
I want one so bad but the plans are so expensive with Verizon. In Oct my contract is up and i may just move to a different carrier. This has everything I want in a phone, but Verizon may bog it down. And a larger screen size would be nice.
What are T-Mobile's BlackBerry plans like?
T-Mobile US has the best BB plans: $20 for BIS and $30 for BES with a voice plan.
I love being an outsider and hearing Americans bounce back and forth, complaining about issues that are so 2006 that it makes my smug little, London living, Australian heart fill with pity.
