At first, we figured our Instinct here at Engadget HQ had just woken up on the wrong side of the bed, but we're now receiving a flood of tips from individuals nationwide having the same issues. Put simply, it seems that certain data services are thoroughly borked, with our Weather app being unable to refresh for at least the past 18 hours (some are reporting even longer). Additionally, we're hearing that folks are having to manually refresh their email and deal with all sorts of error messages when attempting to use any of the data services. So, what gives? Are you having data-related issues with your Instinct? C'mon Sprint, this is your
best-selling EV-DO device of all time -- it'd be nice to have it working for the weekend. Oh, and great job showing all those
angered iPhone 3G users that your network doesn't have issues, too.

did i mention that this phone sucks......
So what is the fix for the phone resetting when typing in whitherspoon?
I was excited that Sprint had a phone to compete with I-Phone. But when I tried out the new Instinct I found out that I could not open the folders in my website. I tried this on the I-Phone and it was able to open the folders in my website. Why is this?

i hate the instinct!!!!!!!!. its sucks period. i got it like 2 weeks after it came out and i thought it was going to be a great phone, and i was so excited for it. the next day all it was doing was freezing and the internet was going slow!!!! im changing to at&t emediatly!!1 and getting the i phone!
I've had the instinct since the day before it was released to the public and haven't had any problems until yesterday. My text messages and emails work fine. It's the screen. It gets little lines in it at random times. It looks like when someone drops a phone and the screen gets messed up with squiggly lines all over. Except I didn't drop it, and the lines are only there sometimes. Has anyone else experienced that or heard of it yet?
yeah well i dont know why everyone is complaining about the instinct as if the first iPhone wasn't terrible when it was first released. This phone used to shutdown my computer every time I tried to sync. There are cons and pros on both side. I sold my iphone and went with sprint in a heart beat. and its been a month since i been using the instict and all the features are working. the only issue is the fact that it doesn't have any instant messages applications and wifi capability . Great i liked about the iphone is the screen width size, (perfect to surf the web)
Yeah it acting up I can not save web address to my Bookmarks and cookies do not save info. I use it mostly for media use and so fair the video quilty ante that good the refresh rate and the resoluchion is low fo the screen size. if I had to rate it I would give it a 5. However It could just be sprint but I have had many problem with Samsung phones Befor. Another problem I have seen is when watching sprint tv the phone will crash and rebot. I am still exploring this phone Media quilty and will report any other roblem if they come up.
I don't know what you're all complaining about. If this phone sync'd to outlook and had a place to hold the stylus, it would far surpass most Windows Mobile devices in features and functionality. I've had several Treo with WM and the Instinct blows them out of the water.
Iphone has had a year to fix the bugs. Give Sprint a chance to fix the bugs too, then we'll see where we are at after a few software updates. Lets not all get all bent out of shape over a phone. They are Both nice phones and we all have are different reasons for liking which ever one we like. anyone who gets that passionate about a phone ass to argue on and on, back and forth, is just lame, and should get out more. chill out and enjoy what you have, it's probably better then most people can have. we all have a choice.
See ya.
Cant blame the instinct for this ....i unfortunately have sprint but i have the blackberry and my data services havent been working correctly the past few weeks...anytime i try and check the weather i can only load the site...i cant click on any of the links to check the forecast for the week....sprint needs to step up their game
