of kids want an iPad
The Nielsen Company presented a cadre of individuals with a list of nice, shiny gadgets and let them cross off anything and everything they'd like to buy in the next six months, and 31 percent of kids 6-12 picked the iPad as one of them.

lol @ copy & paste a high priority...
all you idiot apple fanbois make me sick. iphones are for kiddos and emo trendwhores. Anyone who does serious tech tasks or uses business related software wouldn't be caught dead with an iphone. No self respecting tech or gadget enthusiast can truly say the iphone is the best choice unless are are stubborn or ill informed.
The hTC Mogul w/ Sprint SERO is unlimited data, text, & tethering on EVDO rev 1 for $30/month. You simply cant beat this phone and this price for data service. You can way whatever you want...
hTC Touch Pro is on the horizon as well... these are real phones for real users. Leave the iphones to the soccer moms and dipshits.
The End.
yeah but word is SERO's on the cutting block, eh?
LOL@goon
Lol.. That's all I can say :)
The iphone has already outsold any other direct competition.
amen!
Nice words !
Who gives a sweaty vagina whether or not the iphone outsold those other devices? While the iphone isn't as horrible as g00n makes it sound, Apple's mobile devices unit has never been able to design good hardware.
Apple's strength has always been marketing....not engineering.
I wouldn't call em dipshits per se, but the uninformed masses are usually the ones who buy Apple...trendwhores too.
I've never seen a true gadget head or engineer try an apple product more than once before realizing that the word according to JOBS is mostly crap.
Erik and other closeted fanboys: Your devotion to Apple (aka a corporation) is fucking weird. Stop. Its only electronics.
Please geek out till the point of nausea over something else. Sweaty vaginas for example....
I use to think like you, until I realised you don't buy a phone based on what the spec sheet says, you have to experience them for yourself.
The iphone's strength is it's diverse appeal, a diverse appeal crafted through a ui that is years ahead of competitors, it may be easy to use and simple in it's look but we know it has powerful underpinnings.
To expand on that, people can use it in their own way, it appeals to different markets well, can you say many Windows Mobile phones do that?
I totally agree. The only people I know who have an iPhone are the posers who aren't even tech savvy enough to use any more than 10% of the features on a modern handset. None of the serious techies I know would go near one.
The Apple crowd are like religious nuts; they fervently adhere to completely irrational and unfounded opinions and make no reference whatsoever to reality. Steve Jobs is their David Koresh, making them believe the iPhone is something other than just an expensive, but ultimately useless toy, since it lacks so many fundamentally vital features.
I think g00n's post wraps up the iPhone completely and nothing more needs to be said.
LOL!
Sounds like some people are jelouse of apple's new mobile computer/phone :)
Hm. I own a software company and manage it from my iPhone when out of office. Used to do BB but love the iPhone. What do you know about serious business users? Are you one yourself?
I think people who actually type "fanbois" should have their nuts cut out and shoved down their throats.
What? They don't have nuts?
Nevermind.
This message is for g00n. We are designing a turn by turn gps software with tomtom, MMS will soon follow closely behind, and also within the firmware code are commands for "cut," "copy" and "paste." While this does not guarantee the functionality will immediately appear -- we have been known oftentimes to add coding in well before a feature is actually implemented -- it certainly suggests copy and paste is on the way.
Nevertheless, remember that the iPhone is only a platform or foundation to build on (like building a house and adding on to it). What other cell phone you that can do this? The iPhone is years ahead of other mobile products. We may not have the features that you are looking for now, but it will come with just a firmware upgrade... Oh! Did I mention that won't have to even change your mobile phone. LOL.... For someone that so computer savvy you're so behind in technology. I'd advise you to upgrade your knowledge prior to upgrading you mobile phone...
